Missions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering organization to design and maintain advanced testing frameworks and build an automated software update pipeline for satellites.
- Identify and eliminate friction points in the satellite software development lifecycle with smart, user-friendly tools and workflows, and architect and implement the next-generation satellite software framework.
- Support dozens of developers across Spire by improving satellite software quality and delivery speed, and embrace CI/CD, extensive test coverage, and a GitOps-based delivery model.
Profil recherché
- Computer science degree or equivalent work experience; experience in the full lifecycle of a software- Proficiency in Linux/Unix, Git, Docker and Shell Scripting
- 4+ years of working experience in software engineering
- Software programming experience and proficiency in at least one of: Rust, Python
- Familiarity with PaaS, IaC, Cloud and CI tools. Examples include AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Github Actions, PostgreSQL, Hashicorp Vault, Grafana, Databricks
- Willingness to provide emergency operational support, fix bugs and maintain existing code
- Passion for automation, reliability, scalability, and elegant tooling
- Strong coding skills and familiarity with testing and observation strategies
- Experience and interest in building infrastructure or tools that support developer productivity
- Comfort navigating complex systems, quickly learning and navigating new arenas of code, and collaborating across functions (e.g., software researchers, embedded developers, satellite operators)
