That is where you come in.\nYour role\nAs Senior Accountant, you will work alongside our other Senior Accountant and closely with the Head of Accounting. Together, you make sure our Danish accounting records are accurate and complete, and that our month-end and year-end close is delivered on time and under control.\nThis role is for an experienced accountant who wants to go beyond transactional work. You will own complex accounting topics, be the go-to person for accounting questions in the team, and help shape how our finance processes work as we scale as part of the Edenred Group.\nWhat you will do\nOwn complex general ledger work, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and prepayments\nRun monthly balance sheet reconciliations and make sure open items are investigated and cleared\nTake ownership of key parts of the month-end and year-end close, including cut-off, closing files and group deadlines\nPrepare and review Danish VAT reporting, including complex domestic and cross-border transactions, and file reports with the Danish tax authorities and other agencies\nSupport statutory reporting and the annual accounts, and work with external auditors and tax advisers\nManage intercompany reconciliations and support group consolidation and reporting\nMaintain and improve accounting controls, and help build standard procedures for the team\nTake part in ERP, automation and finance improvement projects as we grow\nWhat you bring\n5+ years of accounting experience, including experience from a Danish company\nStrong knowledge of Danish accounting rules and VAT\nHands-on experience with month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts and external audit\nExperience with intercompany accounting\nStrong Excel skills\nProfessional fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken\nNice to have\nExperience from an international group, including group reporting or consolidation\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another modern ERP\nExperience improving or automating finance processes\nKnowledge of Danish payroll accounting, tax or other local compliance areas\nA degree or qualification in accounting, finance or business administration\nWho you are\nYou are technically strong and enjoy solving accounting issues on your own.
