You will guide architectural thinking, coach engineers, facilitate informed decision-making, and ensure the team is aligned with strategic intent. Your success is measured not by the decisions you make, but by the decisions your team can make without you. You’ll collaborate closely with product development teams, internal stakeholders, near-shore colleagues, and external partners. Reporting to one of our Engineering Managers, you’ll ensure we deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable software solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Context & Intent\nHelp the team deeply understand the “why” behind initiatives and the outcomes we are aiming for. \nSet clear technical intent and enabling constraints without prescribing solutions.\n2. Coherent Planning\nCo-plan initiatives within the Product Trio (Product Manager, Product Designer, Tech Lead). \nEnsure technical initiatives support both product goals and long-term platform health. \n3. Technical Leadership & Architecture\nFacilitate architectural discussions, guide trade-off analysis, and ensure RFCs/ADRs capture reasoning. \nLead solution design and system performance improvements while empowering others to contribute. \nPromote scalable, maintainable, and secure system architecture. \n4. Code Quality, Testing, Security& Standards\nChampion best practices for coding standards, design patterns, and review processes. \nLead the adoption of automated testing and ensure high-quality releases. \nCoach the team on writing clean, reliable, secure code-instead of being a PR gatekeeper. \nGuide the team in building secure-by-design systems. \n5. Quality & Flow\nMonitor system health using dashboards, fitness reviews, and performance metrics. \nIdentify and remove obstacles slowing the team down. \nImprove flow by enabling shared ownership and reducing dependencies on any single person. \n6. Coaching & Mentorship\nGrow engineers’ architectural literacy, decision-making abilities, and systems thinking. \nFoster a culture of trust, candid feedback, and servant leadership. \nLead by example in collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement. \n7.
