The company has contracts and agreements in place with top-tier suppliers across the globe. Procurement Agents have responsibility for various pieces of the purchased component life cycle including requirement identification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/delivery. Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered, to the right place, at the right time.\nPerforms part or all the following:\nActs as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.\nDevelops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.\nInterfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.\nManages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.\nMonitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry\nMicrosoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written\nExcellent data analysis skills a plus\nKnowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus\nHigh energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nExcellent data analysis and problem solving skill is a plus\nKnowledge or experience in manufacturing, manufacturing materials and processes is advantageous\nFamiliarity with MRP systems, with preference given to SAP experience\nBachelor's degree in finance, business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
