For more information on SNDL, please go to www.sndl.com.\nAbout The Role\nWe are currently looking for friendly, outgoing, and customer service driven individuals to join our team asPart TimeSales Associates at our Wine & Beyond Southgate location in Edmonton!\nPrimary Purpose of Job\nProvide exemplary customer service to every person who walks into our store, understand customer needs and instill a customer mindset within the store, participates in stocking and merchandising of the store; ensuring the store is stocked and ready to serve our customers.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPeople Skills\nCustomer service is driven, friendly, willing to talk to all customers\nEffective verbal communication skills\nMaintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times\nCustomer Offering\nDeliver exemplary customer service\nGreet customers when they enter the store and take customers to product when required\nGenerate sales by educating, advising and suggesting products to every customer\nMaintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within the required timeline\nEscort customers from the store and/or offer car service when appropriate\nFinancial\nComplete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment\nEnsure all cash handling policies & procedures are adhered to\nEnsure all opening & closing procedures are done correctly (when applicable)\nComplete end of day till reports (when applicable)\nEnsure safe is locked at all times and deposits are secured (when applicable)\nDay to Day Operations\nPerform all opening and closing procedures (when applicable)\nStock shelves and cooler with product\nParticipate in merchandising and promotional activities\nParticipate in routine store maintenance and cleaning\nOther tasks as assigned\nRegulatory Adherence\nEnsure that OHS, LP, ProServe and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to\nMaintain First-Aid, LP and OHS Training\nMaintain ProServe Certification\nEnsure AGLC other government guidelines are met\nAdheres to all SNDL policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility\nQualifications:\nWork Experience\nMinimum, 1-year experience in a retail environment (preferred, not required)\nPrevious liquor-related experience considered an asset\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nProServe Certification\nFirst-Aid Certificate is considered an asset\nTraining in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required)\nPhysical Requirements\nAvailable to work a varied retail schedule, including evening and weekends\nAble to safely lift up to 50 pounds\nAble to stand for an extended period\nComfortable climbing ladders\nOther Skills and Capabilities\nHighly self-motivated\nCustomer service driven\nEffective teamwork skills\nStrong sales background\nStrong communication skills (written and verbal)\nMust be able to pass a Background Check\nMust have access to reliable transportation\nWhy Work With Us?\nAt Wine & Beyond we invest in our people.
