For more information on SNDL, please go to www.sndl.com.\nAbout The Role\nWe are currently looking for friendly, outgoing, and customer service driven individuals to join our team as a Wine Manager.\nPrimary Purpose of Job\nProvide leadership and direction of a multimillion-dollar business unit in partnership with General Manager, with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience. Train and develop team members while establishing a strong sales culture with accountability for operational excellence and achievement of financial and regulatory standards.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPeople Management Skills\nCreate a work culture that makes your store an inviting place to work\nBe a role model who coaches, mentors, and inspires team members\nDelegate tasks to team members and set priorities\nCommunicates in a clear and concise manner to team, leading effective huddles/meetings/coaching sessions, relay pertinent information\nParticipate in department recruitment and create succession plans for the store\nSupport and coach team members to improve any performance gaps; conduct ongoing coaching for improvements\nCompletes and holds team accountable to complete required training within timeframes\nCreates and/or monitors the creation of efficient department weekly scheduling for both sales and support functions\nCustomer Offering\nDeliver exemplary customer service\nResolve customer complaints regarding sales and service; inform all customer complaints to General Manager\nCreate a culture that has a passion for wine\nAccountable for product rollouts and product launches\nReview customer surveys and react appropriately\nUnderstand and utilize local market tends\nEvaluate programs and promotions for effectiveness and offer recommendations to General Manager\nFinancial\nEnsure that goals will be met through appropriate planning and organization of labour, inventory, and finances for short and long-term success\nMeet or exceed department financial targets through partnership with General Manager\nReview and monitor Loss Prevention program to protect the company’s inventory and assets in partnership with General Manager\nReview financial document (invoices, costs etc.) for accuracy\nMonitor and make appropriate adjustments to scheduling to achieve labor cost in partnership with General Manager\nDay to Day Operations\nEnsure department follows merchandising and pricing guidelines\nEnsure department is presentable and relay any maintenance issues to General Manager\nExecute merchandising programs and track results\nManage communication (mail, email, voicemail)\nMaintain department inventory levels\nRespond to customer complaints\nManage department inventory ordering and receiving\nOrganize and/or attend OHS and LP meetings and training sessions\nActively aim to increase and share industry knowledge on wine\nDevelop relationships with store stakeholders\nSet daily tasks for the store\nReview flyers, upcoming events, and promotions; execute appropriately\nRegulatory Adherence\nObserve that OHS, LP, ProServe/Serving It Right and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to\nParticipate in health inspections, audits and required corrective actions\nMaintain First-Aid, LP and OHS Training\nMaintain ProServe/Serving It Right and ensure employees maintain ProServe/Serving It Right\nEnsure AGLC/BC LRS and other government guidelines are met\nAdheres to all SNDL Inc. policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility\nQualifications:\nWork Experience\nMinimum, 2-years’ experience in retail environment\nMinimum, 2-years’ supervisory and/or management experience (preferred)\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nFirst-Aid training considered an asset\nProServe/Serving It Right Certificate considered an asset\nWSET Certification and/or other wine-related training considered an asset\nOther Skills and Capabilities\nHighly self-motivated\nCustomer service driven\nEffective leadership of large team\nStrong sales background\nProven track record of success\nStrong communication skills (written and verbal)\nMust be able to pass a Background Check\nMust have access to reliable transportation\nWhy WorkWithUs?\nAt Wine & Beyond we invest in our people.
