We’re growing fast and investing in our product, our people, and our global growth.\nAbout you\nYou’re an HR generalist who is calm in difficult conversations, careful with confidential information and quick to find a smarter way of working. As our People & Capability Advisor, you’ll give hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle, help managers with performance and people matters, and help run our performance, L&D and engagement programs. You’ll work closely with our HRBP (Team Manager) on employee relations and help splose stay compliant as we scale. As the team grows, there’s room to grow with it.\nWhat you’ll do:\nManage the P&C operational queue, including employee and manager queries, leave, contract variations, letters, payroll inputs and HRIS records in Rippling\n\nRun onboarding, probation, changes in employment, parental leave, flexible work requests and offboarding, so new starters are set up before day one and leavers are closed out properly\n\nSupport recruitment with offers, contracts and pre-employment checks, and help with advertising, interview scheduling and screening when needed\n\nSupport managers through underperformance conversations and PIPs by preparing documentation, tracking timelines and taking notes in formal meetings\n\nBe the first point of call for managers on policy, process and entitlements, and help deliver manager training such as HR 101 for Managers\n\nSupport the HRBP on ER/IR matters, grievances and workplace disputes, including intake, triage, correspondence, interview notes and confidential case records, and handle low-complexity matters with guidance\n\nCoordinate L&D programs, including the L&D reimbursement process, training logistics and compliance training tracking\n\nCoordinate mid-year and year-end reviews and calibration sessions, run engagement and EX surveys and present results to leaders\n\nHelp review and update people policies, and check award coverage, classifications and entitlements in standard cases\n\nCoordinate WHS processes and incident reporting, and support return-to-work plans for ReturnToWorkSA/WorkCover claims\n\nSpot gaps in our people processes and improve them, including through AI and automation\n\nWhat you’ll bring:\n3 to 5 years in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role\n\nA solid grasp of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding\n\nExposure to ER/IR matters such as grievances, investigations or misconduct processes (you don’t need to have led them)\n\nA track record of supporting managers through performance management and PIPs\n\nHands-on involvement in coordinating L&D or manager capability initiatives\n\nWorking knowledge of the Fair Work Act, the NES and Modern Awards\n\nAccurate record keeping and a strong handle on people processes\n\nSound judgement and the confidence to know when to escalate\n\nClear, plain-language communication, both written and verbal\n\nDiscretion, empathy and composure in difficult conversations\n\nA coaching mindset that builds manager capability\n\nComfort working at pace and juggling a busy queue alongside complex cases\n\nIt would be great if you also have:\nA background in a scale-up or SaaS environment\n\nConfidence using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini to work smarter\n\nRTW coordination with ReturnToWorkSA\n\nHands-on use of engagement survey tools like Culture Amp or Lattice\n\nFamiliarity with Rippling, Ashby, Perkbox or similar platforms\n\nExposure to workplace investigations, such as note-taking or evidence gathering\n\nA tertiary qualification in HR, IR, business or a related field\n\nNext Steps:\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial screening call by our internal TA team.\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nsplose is an equal opportunity employer.
