As our engineering landscape continues to evolve, we are strengthening our DevSecOps capabilities to ensure security is embedded into every stage of software delivery.\nTHE CHALLENGE\nWe are looking for a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to join our Information Security organisation in Warsaw.\nThis role sits at the intersection of Security, Platform Engineering and Software Development. You will be responsible for integrating security controls into engineering workflows, enabling developers to build securely, improving cloud and Kubernetes security posture, and driving risk-based vulnerability management across our technology landscape.\nYou will work closely with Platform Engineering, Central Engineering and development teams to ensure security becomes a seamless part of the Software Development Lifecycle rather than a gate at the end of the process.\nThis is not a traditional operational security position. We are looking for someone who can combine security expertise with engineering thinking and help us scale secure development practices across the organisation.\nWhat You'll Be Part Of\nYou will join a multidisciplinary Information Security team that partners closely with Engineering, Platform and Product teams to help Sportradar build secure-by-design solutions at scale.\nOur team collectively owns a broad range of security capabilities spanning DevSecOps, cloud security, application security, security tooling and vulnerability management. No individual is expected to lead every area. You will contribute your expertise, collaborate across disciplines and help drive improvements where your strengths and interests can have the greatest impact.\nDepending on your experience and the team's priorities, you will contribute to initiatives across the following areas:\nSecure SDLC & DevSecOps\nContribute to the implementation of Secure Software Development Lifecycle practices across engineering teams.\nHelp embed security controls and automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines.\nHelp ensure security requirements are integrated into development processes from design through deployment.\nPartner with engineering teams to enable secure-by-design application development.\nSupport security automation and continuous improvement across software delivery pipelines.\nCloud & Kubernetes Security\nSupport the development and enhancement of cloud security posture management capabilities.\nWork with engineering teams to secure AWS-based environments and cloud-native platforms.\nContribute to improving Kubernetes security posture through the implementation of security controls, monitoring and best practices.\nAssess cloud security risks and provide practical remediation guidance.\nVulnerability Management\nSupport risk-based vulnerability management activities across applications and infrastructure.\nAnalyse vulnerability findings, determine business risk and establish remediation priorities.\nPartner with engineering teams to ensure vulnerabilities are remediated effectively and within agreed timelines.\nContribute to scalable processes for vulnerability identification, triage and reporting.\nApplication Security\nContribute application security guidance throughout the development lifecycle.\nSupport engineering teams with secure coding practices and remediation recommendations.\nWork as a trusted security partner on security design decisions and implementation approaches.\nContribute to security awareness and developer enablement initiatives.\nSecurity Engineering & Tooling\nContribute to the management and enhancement of security tooling integrated within development and operational environments.\nEvaluate existing and future security platforms and identify opportunities for optimisation.\nWork with tools and technologies such as GitLab, SonarQube, Mend, Tenable, Sysdig and related solutions.\nSupport proof-of-concept activities, platform integrations and security automation initiatives.\nABOUT YOU\nYou have a strong engineering mindset combined with practical security expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex technology organisation.\nYou bring:\nProven experience working in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, Application Security or Cloud Security roles.\nStrong understanding of modern software development practices and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience securing cloud-native environments, preferably AWS.\nExperience working with Kubernetes and container security.\nExperience implementing security controls within software delivery pipelines.\nStrong understanding of vulnerability management processes and remediation workflows.\nGood knowledge of application security concepts and the OWASP Top 10.\nExperience collaborating with engineering teams in an advisory, enablement or security engineering capacity.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAbility to operate independently and drive initiatives forward in a global organisation.\nA pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to security.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) platforms.\nExperience with Kubernetes Security Posture Management (KSPM) solutions.\nKnowledge of AWS and GCP security best practices.\nExperience with GitLab Ultimate.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code and security automation.\nExperience in large-scale enterprise organisations.\nExperience supporting modern AI-enabled development environments.\nRelevant security certifications.\nWhat We Offer\nThe opportunity to shape and mature DevSecOps capabilities within one of the world's leading sports technology companies.\nMeaningful ownership and the ability to influence security strategy and engineering practices.\nAccess to modern cloud, platform and security technologies.\nA collaborative international environment working with highly skilled engineering and security professionals.\nContinuous learning and professional development opportunities.\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package.\nCareer growth opportunities within a global technology organisation.\nOur Working Model\nThis role follows our office-first approach and is based in Warsaw.\nSuccessful candidates will be expected to work from our Warsaw office five days per week, collaborating closely with engineering, platform and security teams.\nDiversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging\nSportradar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
