Sportradar is a Swiss company founded in 2001 that collects live sports data and sells it to betting operators, media companies and sports leagues, and it holds exclusive rights to distribute data from the NBA, NHL, ATP and many other competitions. Its business is a licensing chain: it pays leagues for official data rights, sends people to capture the feed reliably from the venue, and resells it to bookmakers who cannot price in-play markets without it. Headquartered in Sankt Gallen and listed on Nasdaq, it also operates integrity services that monitor betting patterns for match-fixing on behalf of federations.

We’re the world’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. More than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our know-how and technology to boost their business.

OVERVIEW

Working within Sportradar's newly formed Rights & Partnership Protection (RPP) team, the Partnership Protection Specialist will serve as a key liaison between Sportradar and major sports rights holders across North America.

The role is responsible for supporting the protection, enhancement and operational effectiveness of Sportradar's sports partnerships through a combination of field operations, intelligence gathering, stakeholder engagement and investigative activity. Acting as the regional subject matter expert, the specialist will attend sporting events throughout North America, monitor market activity impacting rights holders, and provide actionable intelligence that strengthens the value and integrity of Sportradar's partnerships.

The position requires an experienced and highly motivated professional with a strong understanding of the North American sports ecosystem, sports betting markets and partnership-related risks. The successful candidate will work closely with rights holders, security teams, internal stakeholders and international counterparts to identify emerging threats, malicious actors and global trends affecting the sports data and betting landscape.

This role will play a critical part in ensuring Sportradar's rights partnerships continue to deliver value, remain protected from misuse, and evolve in line with an increasingly complex global betting environment.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Act as a key operational liaison between Sportradar and allocated North American sports rights holders.

  • Attend sporting events throughout North America to support rights-holder operations.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with leagues, federations, security teams, venue operators and other key stakeholders.

  • Conduct intelligence-led research into market activity to understand and analyse actors impacting rights-holder interests.

  • Identify emerging risks, trends and operational vulnerabilities affecting Sportradar's rights partnerships.

  • Conduct investigative research using open-source, commercial and industry-specific data sources.

  • Lead and support digital evidence collection relating to sportsbook activity, betting markets, prediction platforms and other relevant digital environments.

  • Develop intelligence holdings relating to individuals, groups and networks operating within the sports betting and data collection ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with Rights & Partnership Protection colleagues across Europe to identify global trends, organised networks and syndicates operating across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Analyse information received from rights holders and transform operational reporting into actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations.

  • Produce regular intelligence products, stakeholder briefings and operational assessments.

  • Deliver season-long reporting for partner organisations, including pre-season risk assessments, in-season updates and post-season reviews.

  • Support rights holders in developing operational best practices to enhance data collection hygiene and partnership performance.

  • Plan and deliver educational workshops and awareness sessions for leagues, federations, venue operators, security personnel and other stakeholders.

  • Support SRAD and other internal stakeholders by providing intelligence and operational insights that strengthen existing partnerships and support future rights opportunities.

  • Contribute to the development of global Rights & Partnership Protection methodologies, processes and operational standards.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3+ years' experience in investigations, intelligence, sports integrity, law enforcement, security, due diligence or a related analytical field.

  • Demonstrable investigative mindset with experience conducting intelligence-led enquiries and research.

  • NBA / Basketball

  • MLB / Baseball

  • Ability to identify emerging trends, behavioural patterns and networked activity across complex environments.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable presenting information to senior stakeholders and external partners.

  • Experience delivering training, workshops or educational presentations.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout North America.
