Our mission is to provide cutting-edge technology, data, and insights that shape how fans experience sports worldwide.\nJob Description\nOur Sports Media Team is seeking a passionate Sr. Software Engineer who loves to solve problems, build cloud native solutions, and excels on cross functional teams of talented peers.\nWhat does the Sports Media Team work on?\nWe work with exclusive data rights for top leagues such as MLB, NBA, NHL, and NASCAR, giving us direct access to in-stadium data, including player and optical tracking. For other leagues like the NFL, NCAA, and global sports, we build tooling for our extensive scouting network.\nOur systems power the fastest and most accurate live game data in the market - supporting billions of API calls monthly and enabling global partners like Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, The Score, and Bleacher Report to build exceptional fan experiences.\nOur analytics and broadcast solutions also help storytellers at Fox Sports, Bally Sports, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, and more deliver the narratives, statistics, and graphics seen by millions during major sporting events - from the World Series to the Super Bowl.\nWhat you will do as a Sr. Software Engineer: \nDesign, build, test, and deploy cloud-native, high-scale systems used by enterprise customers and broadcasters worldwide.\n\nWork on a cross-functional product team alongside Product, Engineering, and Design to deliver impactful features and reliable systems.\n\nCollaborate with internal and external engineering groups to design well-architected services with clear boundaries and strong alignment.\n\nChampion best practices that improve the speed, scalability, security, and maintainability of our applications.\n\nParticipate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and knowledge sharing.\n\nMentor less-experienced engineers and foster a supportive, collaborative engineering culture.\n\nContribute to an environment where AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, etc.) are an integral part of our workflow.\n\nServe as a trusted technical leader within the team, promoting engineering excellence and a strong DevOps mindset.\n\nSkills And Qualifications: \n6+ years of professional software development experience, including designing and building production systems at scale.\nStrong experience with data-driven architecture and modern systems design (REST APIs, microservices, GraphQL experience a plus).\n\nProven track record building scalable, reliable, maintainable software in production environments.\n\nProficiency with SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory data stores at scale.\n\nSolid understanding of core software engineering principles and patterns.\n\nExperience integrating AI tools into development workflows or using AI to enhance product capabilities.\n\nExperience with SaaS platforms and cloud-based ecosystems.\n\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab/GitHub, and automated deployment tooling.\n\nComfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).\n\nExperience with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, etc.\n\nBonus\nStrong understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures (AWS serverless and/or containers preferred) at scale in production (or a strong desire for to learn this and gain these skills)\n\nPrimary Tech Stack: \nNote: The stack may vary depending on the team.
