If you enjoy working with complex systems and seeing the impact of your work, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, and deliver backend capabilities that support Spotify's commerce platform, from solution design through to production.\nDevelop and improve scalable services powering merchandising, order management, payment orchestration, and purchase experiences.\nWork with complex, high-traffic systems to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.\nCollaborate with engineers and teams across Spotify to deliver solutions that support our listeners and subscription business.\nWork with cloud infrastructure, databases, and data pipelines to build and maintain reliable backend systems.\nContribute to technical discussions, engineering workshops, and solution reviews, sharing ideas and learning from your peers.\nHelp improve engineering practices and contribute to a collaborative environment where knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.\nWho You Are\nYou have experience developing and scaling backend services using Java, Python, or similar technologies in a cloud environment such as Google Cloud Platform.\nYou're familiar with scalable database technologies such as PostgreSQL and understand the fundamentals of building reliable backend systems.\nYou have exposure to data systems and pipelines, or you're interested in developing your expertise in this area.\nYou enjoy tackling technical challenges, breaking down complex problems, and finding practical solutions.\nYou communicate clearly and are comfortable sharing ideas, participating in technical discussions, and presenting your work to others.\nYou're proactive, take ownership of your work, and enjoy learning new technologies and approaches.\nYou value collaboration, feedback, and working with people from different technical backgrounds to achieve shared goals.\nExperience in e-commerce, payments, or financial engineering is valuable, but not essential.\nWhere You'll Be\nThis role is based in London or Stockholm\nWe offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
