Spotify is a Swedish audio streaming company founded in Stockholm in 2006 that turned licensed on-demand music into the dominant way people listen. Its catalogue spans roughly a hundred million tracks plus podcasts and audiobooks, delivered through an advertising-supported free tier and a paid Premium subscription to hundreds of millions of monthly users across more than a hundred and eighty markets. The platform pairs personalised recommendation systems such as Discover Weekly with a creator side that gives artists, podcasters and publishers distribution, analytics and monetisation tools.
Backed by TCV

Content Platform is the foundation of Spotify’s experiences. We ensure our vast catalog of music, podcasts, audiobooks, video, and creator data is trusted, safe, and ready to power innovation across Spotify.

Our work spans content governance, platform safety, metadata, and machine learning systems that enable experiences such as Music Quiz, Playlist Mixes, Save to Spotify and SongDNA. Every day, our platform helps teams across Spotify build better products for millions of listeners and creators.

  • Make thoughtful product decisions by balancing customer needs, technical complexity, business priorities, and long-term platform health.
  • Champion platform safety, trust, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence as Spotify’s content ecosystem continues to grow.
  • Help teams prioritize work that delivers the greatest long-term impact while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress clearly across technical and executive audiences.

  • You communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and senior leaders, building alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • You have experience working alongside machine learning teams and understand concepts such as model evaluation, precision and recall, and responsible AI development.
  • You build trusted partnerships, collaborate with empathy, and create an environment where teams can do their best work.
