We move quickly, learn from user feedback, and continuously improve the experiences we build.\nWhat You'll Do:\nBuild and evolve Groove, a fullstack platform that supports planning, collaboration, and execution across Spotify.\nDesign and deliver features including initiative tracking, planning workflows, and dependency management.\nWork across the stack using React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to build end-to-end solutions.\nPartner closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and create intuitive, effective experiences.\nEnsure reliability through testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation and help respond to production incidents when needed.\nImprove the performance, scalability, and maintainability of frontend and backend systems.\nUse AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining ownership of quality, correctness, and outcomes.\nLead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact features across the stack.\nOwn problems end-to-end, from shaping ambiguous requirements through to production-ready solutions.\nHelp define and evolve architecture across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.\nMentor engineers and contribute to raising the technical bar across the team.\nWho You Are:\nYou have 5+ years of experience building scalable fullstack applications in production environments.\nYou are comfortable working across frontend and backend technologies and understand how they fit together to create reliable products.\nYou have experience with APIs, distributed systems, and modern web application architecture.\nYou take ownership of the software you build, from implementation through production health and ongoing improvements.\nYou have experience designing systems and influencing technical direction.\nYou communicate clearly and effectively through documentation and collaboration in distributed teams.\nYou write clean, maintainable code that enables others to build with confidence.\nYou use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and validate outputs with sound engineering judgment.\nYou navigate ambiguity with confidence and make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.\nYou enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping teammates grow.\nYou are curious, proactive, and motivated by continuous learning and experimentation.\nWhere You'll Be:\nThis role is based in London or Stockholm.\nWe offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
