If you’re looking to make an impact with heart and hustle, SpotOn is the place for you.\nSummary\nWe're looking for an Associate Salesforce Engineer to join our team and build a career writing production code on the Salesforce platform, as a full member of an Agile Scrum team. This is an entry-level, org-wide engineering role - you'll work across whatever part of the codebase needs attention, learning Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) under the guidance of more senior engineers, while taking part in daily standups and sprint ceremonies from day one.\nThis position is currently designated as a remote-eligible role.\nResponsibilities\nFix small, well-scoped bugs and implement simple Apex/LWC changes, with review from a senior engineer\n\nWrite unit tests for your own code, meeting the team's code-coverage standard\n\nParticipate in daily standups and sprint ceremonies (planning, review, retrospective) as a full member of the Scrum team, learning how the team estimates work in story points\n\nLearn the team's Jira-based workflow - how tickets/stories move from backlog through sprint to done\n\nUse Git for version control, following the team's branching strategy and pull-request process\n\nLearn to move changes through the sandbox → UAT → production pipeline using Gearset, under supervision\n\nUse an AI coding assistant where helpful for boilerplate and test generation, always reviewing the output with the same care you'd give your own code\n\nExperience Expectations\n0-2 years of professional experience; no prior Salesforce experience required - general object-oriented programming background (Java, C#, or similar) is a strong plus\n\nBasic understanding of programming fundamentals: variables, control flow, functions, and object-oriented concepts\n\nWillingness to learn Apex and Lightning Web Components\n\nComfortable with basic SQL concepts; will learn SOQL/SOSL on the job\n\nSalesforce Platform Developer I certification is a plus but not required to start - expected to be earned within the first 6-12 months\n\nFamiliarity with Git (branching, commits, pull requests), or willingness to learn it quickly\n\nComfortable using a general-purpose AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot) for everyday work; exposure to an AI coding assistant (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code) is a plus\n\nComfortable working in an Agile Scrum team - daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, estimating work in story points - and within a structured release process (sandbox → UAT → production)\n\nWilling to take part in a shared on-call and weekly deployment rotation\n\nWhat's in it for you\nCompensation\nOur base pay range for this position is $72,000 -$85,000/year.\n\nPlease note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock plan.\n\nOffers will be reflective of the candidate’s location and experience.\n\nBenefits\nAt SpotOn, we put people above everything else.
