Accounting and Finance, but strong performers may also support automation projects in other departments as the company continues to grow.\nWhat You Will Do\nReview manual accounting and finance workflows and identify opportunities for automation.\n\nBuild repeatable processes across multiple systems, exports, reports, and data sources.\n\nImprove reconciliations, journal-entry preparation, close tracking, reporting, and exception management.\n\nHelp connect operational data to accounting and finance processes.\n\nCreate templates, scripts, dashboards, workflows, and documentation that reduce manual work.\n\nWork with accounting, finance, operations, and technology teams to understand process gaps and build practical solutions.\n\nDesign controls so automation improves accuracy rather than simply speeding up bad processes.\n\nCreate exception-based workflows so teams can focus on issues instead of routine data entry.\n\nDocument processes clearly so they can be maintained and improved over time.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe are looking for practical automation builders who can work across business systems and messy real-world data.\nThe ideal candidate has:\nExperience automating manual processes using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Python, Power Query, VBA, Google Apps Script, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, APIs, or similar platforms.\n\nStrong ability to work with data exports, reports, spreadsheets, and system-generated files.\n\nUnderstanding of accounting or finance processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, AP, payroll, reporting, or financial analysis.\n\nAbility to map a current process, identify failure points, and build a cleaner workflow.\n\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work with non-technical users and translate business problems into automated solutions.\n\nGood documentation habits.\n\nComfort working in a fast-moving environment where systems and processes are still being built.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience working with accounting, ERP, banking, payroll, expense management, inventory, reporting, or operational systems.\n\nExperience building dashboards, exception reports, reconciliation tools, or workflow automations.\n\nExperience with multi-system data matching and process improvement.\n\nExperience supporting accounting, finance, operations, logistics, transportation, or other data-heavy business environments.\n\nAccounting, finance, data analytics, systems, or engineering background preferred.\n\nThe Type of Person Who Will Succeed\nThis role is best for someone who likes solving practical business problems.\nYou should be able to look at a manual process and ask:\nWhy is this being done manually?\n\nWhat data is needed?\n\nWhere does the data come from?\n\nWhat can be automated safely?\n\nWhat should remain subject to review?\n\nHow do we prove the output is accurate?\n\nHow do we make the process repeatable?\n\nWe do not need someone who only writes code in isolation.
