They build financial forecast models, annual budgets, operating plans, profitability & variance analyses, and cash flow models. They lead and work on a broad variety of special projects such as KPI analyses, cohort analyses, inventory demand planning, due diligence support, and M&A support. Virtual CFOs are also often involved as functional analysts in custom software development work we specialize in to supercharge our client’s back office.\nThis position directs the work of FP&A Managers and Sr. Financial Analysts on our staff to provide hands-on mentoring while benefitting from a team-based approach to divide and conquer on each work assignment. This is a position that is proactive and solution-oriented, supporting clients in the fast-paced world of startups and high-growth SMBs. Virtual CFOs have the opportunity to increase their earnings with us through profit-sharing bonuses and other executive compensation awards.\nResponsibilities\nMentor and direct the work of FP&A Managers and Sr. Financial Analysts on our staff\nResponsible for overall fiscal operations: direct our dedicated accounting teams on their functions supporting the full monthly accounting cycle of client businesses\nSupervise client engagements and occasionally direct the client’s own internal accounting & finance team\nMaintain useful relationships with outside partners and vendors engaged with each client business\nDevelop short-range and long-range financial plans to achieve established corporate goals and maximize client profitability\nProvide ongoing financial analysis and modeling to a range of company leaders in support of key business decisions\nPresent timely and valid interpretation of operating results to board of directors and senior management team of clients\nProvide sound leadership in complying with financial and legal requirements\nAttend client board meetings (virtually)\nSupport clients with investor capital raise activities and bank debt negotiations\nPrepare for and support buy-side and sell-side due diligence for client businesses\nAnalyze current market trends and competition of clients’ industries\nCollaborate with others to solve ad-hoc technical finance and accounting challenges\nAssist with systems implementations and custom software solutions\nQualifications\n12+ years in a financial role with at least 8+ years as a finance leader\nStrong understanding of equity and debt financing\nfamiliarity with managing startup equity cap tables\nProven track record in successfully supporting growth using strong analytical skills and effective financial modeling and tracking\nExperience leading financial budgeting and financial planning process\nAbility to oversee and review corporate accounting functions\nSolid understanding of financial compliance requirements and experience implementing and managing financial policies\nProactive and client-centric attitude\nFast learner w/ability to effectively prioritize and manage time\nHungry for experience in fast-paced, dynamic business environments\nProficient in\nMicrosoft Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, learning new software\nCompensation\nCompetitive Pay\n401K w/ up to 4% match (no vesting)\nDiscretionary Bonus Program\n100% remote, always\nCustomizable benefit options\nThe work is performed M-F, between 8 AM to 5 PM PST hours\nWe can provide you with a laptop and necessary hardware/software\nApplication Notice\nAt SPRCHRGR, we value fairness, clarity, and attention to detail in our hiring process.
