If you need a steady income from one employer, this role is not a good fit.\nWhat you will do:\n\n●Write production Python code for ETL / ELT pipelines\n\n●Design PostgreSQL databases and tune them: schemas, indexes, query speed\n\n●Build pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) or Azure, depending on the client\n\n●Set up incremental loads, scheduling, logging, alerts, and backfills\n\n●Prepare clean tables for Power BI and Looker Studio reports\n\n●Write automated tests for Python pipelines\n\n●Document pipelines, tables, and design decisions\nRequired Skills:\n\n●Strong Python for data engineering: API calls, file processing, database connections, pandas\n\n●PostgreSQL and SQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization\n\n●Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) or Azure (Azure SQL)\n\n●Building ETL / ELT pipelines end-to-end, from source extraction to scheduled loads\n\n●Incremental loads and handling schema changes in source data\n\n●Data quality checks and pipeline troubleshooting\n\n●Git / version control\n\n●Clear documentation\n\n●English skills (B1-B2), both written & spoken\nImportant! You must be able to showcase 2-4 past projects - ideally Python pipelines, PostgreSQL databases, or cloud data platforms you've built end-to-end.
