This platform is being built AI-native from the start - with demand forecasting, automated exception handling, and anomaly detection woven into core workflows rather than bolted on afterward. rules\nReliable core systems for inventory management, order routing, and warehouse operations across client accounts\nFast, low-friction onboarding for new 3PL clients through configurable, reusable platform components\nAccurate, real-time inventory and order visibility for both internal ops teams and external clients\nReliable, observable, self-healing fulfillment pipelines with clear SLAs clients can be sold against\nReduced manual intervention in exception handling (mis-ships, short-ships, returns, billing disputes) through AI-driven automation\nClear architectural direction as the 3PL platform scales from first clients to broad external adaptation.\nWhat experiences will help you in this role:\n6-8+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems\nExperience informally or formally leading the technical direction of a team or workstream (design reviews, mentorship, setting standards)\nExperience with ecommerce order management, inventory, warehouse, or logistics systems is a strong plus\nComfortable working in a fast-moving, still-being-defined 0-to-1 environment\nTechnical Skills\nStrong fundamentals in backend engineering: APIs, data modeling, databases, and distributed systems\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native service design\nFamiliarity with event-driven architectures (queues, streams, async processing)\nStrong testing, debugging, and production-support practices\nTechnical Leadership\nAbility to set technical direction and make sound judgment calls without direct authority\nStrong code review and mentorship instincts\nComfort representing a workstream in broader architecture discussions\nDomain & AI Exposure (Nice to Have)\nExposure to EDI standards or 3PL/WMS integration patterns\nExperience integrating ML model outputs (forecasts, predictions, anomaly scores) into application logic\nInterest in growing domain expertise in e-commerce logistics and
