Other duties may be assigned.\nPerform Company established and DOT mandated pre- and post-trip safety inspections of assigned vehicle.\nCheck paperwork against the products ordered and shipped.\nMaintain an accurate, detailed electronic delivery log using the onboard tablet or ELD system for route navigation, DOT compliance logging, and Proof of Delivery (POD)\nCleaning and maintenance functions of delivery vehicle.\nAdhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.\nRetrieve returns and accurately record their numbers.\nProficient completion of assigned delivery route in the predetermined sequence.\nUnloads and/or picks up orders at designated delivery site utilizing equipment on truck which includes pallet jack, power jack, hand truck or by hand when necessary.\nProper handling and filing of customer paperwork as needed.\nProvide courteous, efficient and professional service in dealing with customers. Neatness is a must.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMust possess a valid commercial driver’s license class A as required by DOT and two (2) years driving experience.\nMust have clean three (3) year motor vehicle history.\nMust meet SPR’s Driving Standards as provided at time of interview and maintain those standards throughout employment.\nMust be able to safely drive product to customers on established routes, utilizing route numbers to identify correct customer.\nMust be able to meet and fulfill all regulations and requirements for truck drivers as prescribed by the DOT and maintain valid DOT licenses or qualifications.\nMust demonstrate strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately read and match product numbers, line codes, and location identifiers in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred: Experience using Roadnet system for DOT logging and POD collection, and familiarity with tablets or ELDs for electronic logging and route navigation.\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nLanguage Ability:\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write legibly.\nMath Ability:\nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
