Richards Branches and / or vendors for which responsibility is assigned.\nLocation: Smyrna, GA (Near Battery Center)\nWork Hours: Mon-Fri\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (Others may be assigned)\nCreating purchase orders to facilitate the timely replenishment of the Distribution Centers\nCommunicating with both assigned vendors and/or SPR branches to ensure smooth flow of information and goods\nMaintaining agreed upon service levels (fill rates) to our customers\nMeeting or exceeding inventory turn goals.\nMonitoring vendor performance (fill rate and on-time delivery) and taking corrective action where necessary.\nCoordinating returns to the vendors for damaged and discontinued merchandise.\nMonitoring inventory at all assigned locations and recommends transfers as appropriate to eliminate “overstock”.\nReviewing missed demand and adjusting inventory to capture future sales\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nStrong computer skills: must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and must be able to run SQL queries\nAnalytical mindset: must be able to gather, analyze, and drive insights from data\nGood communication skills.\nWell organized and detail oriented.\nExperience with Manhattan’s suite of Inventory Replenishment software a plus.\nCPIM certification from the American Production and Inventory Control Society or equivalent a plus.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nEducation and/or Experience:\nUndergraduate degree preferred. 2-3 years of Purchasing (Inventory Management) experience\nComputer Skills: must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and must be able to run SQL queries\nLanguage Skills:\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to document business processes and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMathematical Skills:\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nOrganizational Skills:\nMust be detail oriented and exceptional in organization techniques. Must be self-motivated, with ability to set and achieve goals, and set priorities of multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound business process decisions.
