For more information, please visit about.springernature.com and @SpringerNature.\nAbout The Role\nThe HR Generalist & General Affairs (GGA) role acts as the first point of contact for managers and employees in France, providing efficient, compliant HR advice and administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle.\nThe role is a part-time position with 21 hours working time per week.\nRole responsibilities\nProvide first-class HR administrative support and advisory services to employees and managers in France, applying strong consulting skills and effective case management throughout the employee lifecycle.\nLiaise with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment and hiring processes, using effective communication and the ability to assess people where appropriate.\nPrepare employment contracts, working agreements, and joiner/leaver documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with French labour law.\nManage the monthly payroll process with the external provider\nAdminister time and absence management, addressing employee queries and resolving cases efficiently and consistently.\nAct as a subject matter expert for Workday, maintaining accurate HR data and providing reliable HR information to support reporting and data-driven decision-making.\nProvide expertise on local statutory HR processes and contribute to HR compliance, applying knowledge of French labour law and a proactive, action-oriented approach.\nReview and manage HR policies and guidelines in collaboration with HR Centres of Expertise, communicating effectively and balancing stakeholder needs.\nMaintain constructive relationships with Employee Representatives (CSE), using strong stakeholder management, consulting and persuasion skills to support effective collaboration.\nSupport employee career development and performance management processes in partnership with HR Centres of Expertise, applying sound judgement and effective communication.\nContribute to HR projects and other administrative activities, demonstrating resilience, adaptability and a proactive approach to changing priorities.\nOversee general affairs and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth and efficient local operations.\nExperience, Skills & Qualifications:\nHR administration and advisory knowledge\nProfessional HR experience in a similar position within an international environment\nIndependent and structured way of working\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal in French and English\nExperienced MS-Office knowledge\nKnowledge of handling Workday or comparable HR systems\nKnowledge of French labour legislation\nAt Springer Nature, we value the diversity of our teams and work to build an inclusive culture where people are treated fairly and can bring their differences to work and thrive.
