Visit group.springernature.com and follow @SpringerNature / @SpringerNatureGroup.\nAbout the Brand\nThe Accounts Payable Junior Specialist will be part of the Global Finance Shared Service Center and responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable activities for global entities.\nThe role requires strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, accounting fundamentals, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities, and experience working in a global invoice processing environment.\nThe individual will manage PO and Non-PO invoice processing, validating invoice details, ensuring accurate accounting entries, vendor payments, reconciliations and SAP-based accounting transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.\nThe candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced shared services environment while adhering to established procedures, service-level agreements (SLAs), and internal controls and work in European shift timing i.e. 12.30 pm IST to 21.30 pm IST.\nRole Responsibilities:\nProcess PO and Non-PO invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.\nReview and validate invoices for completeness, accuracy, appropriate approvals, and compliance with company policies.\nVerify purchase orders, goods receipts, invoice details, payment terms, and vendor information before posting.\nPerform invoice posting in SAP, ensuring accurate GL coding, cost center allocation, and accounting treatment.\nProcess domestic, international, and intercompany invoices for global entities.\nHandle invoice exceptions, discrepancies, blocked invoices, and rejected cases, coordinating with relevant stakeholders for resolution.\nManage recurring entries, credit notes, debit notes, and reversal postings.\nUnderstand basic accounting principles, including debit and credit entries and the accounting impact of vendor transactions.\nPerform vendor account reconciliations and open-item management, including investigation and resolution of outstanding items.\nRespond to vendor and internal stakeholder queries related to invoice status, payment status, discrepancies, and pending approvals.\nOpen item management\nUnderstand accounting impacts of vendor postings, including debit and credit entries.\nMaintain accurate documentation and audit trails.\nEnsure adherence to SOPs and internal controls.\nWork on Ad-Hoc requests.\nExperience, Skills & Qualifications:\n1-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable within shared services or multinational environments.\nFluent in English (Verbal & Writing).\nExperience with SAP (preferably S4Hana), FI/MM.\nStrong understanding & experience on entire P2P process.\nMust be well organized, detail oriented and multitasking.\nGood knowledge of MS Office - Word, excel and PowerPoint.\nExcel Automation like VBA / Macro creation would be an advantage.\nEligibility\nIn accordance with our internal career movement guidance, 12 months in current role is a requirement before applying to a new role.\nAt Springer Nature, we value the diversity of our teams and work to build an inclusive culture, where people are treated fairly and can bring their differences to work and thrive.
