This role involves measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.\nKey Responsibilities:\nRead and interpret cut tickets to determine shutter shape and specifications\nMeasure panels and materials to ensure accuracy\nCut and shape louvers, rails, and stiles using hand and power tools\nAssemble panels and louvered arches according to specifications\nVerify panel color, texture, and dimensions before assembly\nInspect completed products for quality and accuracy\nMove finished products to cleaning and packaging area\nMaintain a clean and safe work area\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nAbility to read a ruler to 1/16”\nAbility to convert decimals to fractions and vice versa\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks\nCarpentry or woodworking experience preferred\nComfortable using hand tools and power tools\nSchedule:\nNormally Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts 5a - 3p; overtime may be required or offered as needed.\nRequirements\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:\n Follow set safety procedures \n Team player\n Must be able to stand for 10 hours, occassional bend, kneel, reach overhead, twisting and lifting up to 50#\n Set priorities \n Be flexible in job assignments \n Hand/eye coordination \n Basic computer skills \n Ability to meet job productivity expectations \nEnsures quality by: \n Using project plan and project schedule methodology \n Clearly defining and utilizing processes in daily work \n Understanding Polywood Fab team structure, roles and responsibilities \n Integrating process methodology into daily work\n Looking for innovative ways to streamline work processes across the division and involves stakeholders \n Share best practices \n Using department and company scorecard and other metrics \n Measuring own work to plan and reports out at a micro and macro
