The ideal candidate is passionate about IoT and Home Automation products, thrives on automating everything, and has a proven track record of building and operating secure, scalable cloud platforms. This role combines infrastructure architecture, CI/CD pipeline engineering, platform reliability, and hands-on development in a cloud-first environment, leveraging AWS services.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCloud Infrastructure & Architecture:\nDesign, build, and operate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure supporting web portals, SaaS platforms, and IoT device fleets.\nManage infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, with version-controlled, peer-reviewed changes.\nArchitect for high availability, fault tolerance, cost optimization, and disaster recovery, including backup and restore strategies.\nAdminister core AWS services such as EC2, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53, and CloudFront.\nCI/CD & Automation:\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).\nDrive automation of build, test, deployment, and rollback processes to enable frequent, low-risk releases.\nStandardize containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes or ECS across environments.\nDevelop automation scripts and internal tooling in Python and Bash.\nMonitoring, Reliability & Performance:\nImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and related observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).\nDefine and track SLOs/SLIs; lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\nContinuously tune performance and right-size infrastructure to balance reliability and cost.\nSecurity & Compliance:\nApply best practices for data security, identity and access management (IAM), secrets management, and network security in SaaS environments.\nAutomate security scanning, patching, and compliance checks within pipelines and infrastructure.\nCollaborate with InfoSec teams to maintain a secure, auditable cloud architecture.\nCollaboration & Enablement:\nPartner with software engineers to design deployable, observable, cloud-native applications and improve developer experience.\nEstablish and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and documentation across the engineering team.\nMentor developers on cloud, containerization, and automation practices, fostering a culture of shared operational ownership.\nWrite technical documents, runbooks, and operational guidelines.\nUse project management tools (Trello) to track and communicate project status.\nStay current on emerging cloud and DevOps technologies and champion innovative solutions.\nRequirements\nWhat we are looking for:\nRequired\nBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nProven experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering role supporting production SaaS environments.\nStrong expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture (EC2, S3, Fargate/ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).\nHands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).\nStrong understanding of Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, and virtualization.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release automation.\nProficiency in scripting and automation with Python and Bash.\nWorking knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server), including backups, replication, and performance basics.\nSolid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TLS, VPNs, firewalls).\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication abilities.\nPreferred\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles.\nAWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).\nExperience supporting IoT ecosystems, device fleets, or home automation products.\nFamiliarity with application stacks such as Python, PHP, NodeJS, or C#/.NET, sufficient to support and troubleshoot deployments.\nExperience with observability platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK).\nKnowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management principles.\nHow We Work to Deliver a Best Experience: Our Culture\nOur Core Value: We do the right thing, always \nOur Seven Cultural Behaviors \nEmpowerment -
