If you confidently write web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, we’d love to talk with you!\nThe minimum qualifications for this role include:\n7+ years of experience with planning, building, and releasing frontend applications with web technologies (React, JavaScript, TypeScript)\nExperience building web applications with TypeScript\nProfessional English proficiency in verbal and written communication\nBased in or near Kraków, with occasional availability to work from the office\nPreferred qualifications for this role include:\nExperience working as a full stack engineer.\nExperience working with Node.js\nExperience working in a large codebase\nExperience building and/or maintaining an internal UI library\nCommunication and project management skills from collaborating with people across different teams and functional areas.\nHow you’ll grow\nWithin 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:\nComplete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members.\nDeliver business value by shipping your first code change with active pairing/mentoring from your teammates.\nLearn how code is deployed to our end users through collaboration with front end developers on your team.\nHave a firm understanding of the team’s roadmap and the team’s Agile processes by having discussions with your team’s manager.\nWithin 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:\nIndependently own and deliver the front end part of small to medium features without peer consultation\nAdhere to the team’s engineering best practices, such as testing expectations, shared patterns, and documentation.\nOpenly communicate with all disciplines of the team, including back-end engineers, product design and product managers, in order to move the team’s work forward.\nContribute to team processes by participating in team activities, such as code review, estimation, technical specification planning, collaboration in requirements definition, and contribution of feedback during retrospectives.\nWithin 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:\nAuthor a technical specification plan for a roadmap project and collaborate with teammates to create an agreed upon delivery plan.\nMentor junior teammates to provide guidance and coaching on code implementation, design review, and other software engineering and Agile practices.\nUnderstand how the team uses React and Typescript frameworks and be comfortable explaining relevant details to other engineers.\nCollaborate effectively with product managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and with quality.\nUnderstand the how we structure, build and deploy the apps and be comfortable explaining relevant details to other engineers.\nHave knowledge of your team’s target customer base and their most common use cases within the application.\nWithin 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:\nHave an understanding of all aspects of our web application, including every module, less common use cases and all the Personas within our user base.\nDemonstrate end-to-end responsibility for delivering roadmap projects on time, from technical planning to performing/guiding implementation to testing to final delivery.\nBalance the continuum of trade-offs during code design, knowing that solutions can favor faster delivery with less strict technical requirements or solutions can favor future technical maintainability with delayed delivery of customer value.\nIdentify a technical initiative (e.g. technical debt, introduction of a new system, need for a new JavaScript dependency, performance improvement, etc) for your team.\nOf course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.\nOur Benefits Program\n We’re proud to regularly be recognized for our team, product and culture. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.\nWhenever possible, we want to provide team members the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them.
