You will work directly with state governments and other public sector partners to design, build, and deploy solutions that solve real-world identity challenges. This role combines hands-on software development with consulting and customer success. You will represent SpruceID on the ground with our partners, ensuring our technology is deployed effectively and with lasting impact.\nThis job is fully remote within the US.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the design and development of products and solutions for state governments and enterprise customers\n\nWork side-by-side with customer delivery leads, engineers, and UX designers to ensure successful projects delivery and deployments\n\nTranslate customer requirements into technical architectures and working implementations\n\nAct as a trusted technical advisor to public sector partners, guiding them through standards adoption and best practices\n\nBuild backend software and full-stack web and mobile applications that meet public sector security, privacy, and accessibility standards\n\nContribute to new and existing Rust codebases that run on backend services, mobile devices, and in the browser\n\nManage customer deployments and support operations\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience shipping backend software in statically typed languages, such as C#, Rust, Go, or Java.\n\nExperience shipping modern web frontends that meet accessibility and security standards\n\nProven ability to lead cross-functional engineering efforts and deliver production systems\n\nHands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and devops practices\n\nExcellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers, ideally in a consulting or delivery role\n\nBased in the US and excited to engage directly with state government partners\n\nBonus Qualifications\nStrong foundation in digital identity, cryptography, data privacy, or blockchain\n\nPrior experience working with public sector software projects\n\nAt SpruceID, we value diversity of perspectives and backgrounds.
