The role partners with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define reporting requirements, establish consistent metrics, and translate complex data into accurate, actionable insights. Using SQL, Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, AWS QuickSight, and related data platforms, the position integrates and validates data from multiple sources; develops dashboards, reports, and semantic models; resolves data and reporting issues; and improves reporting performance and automation. The role also supports data quality, security, governance, documentation, and visualization standards while recommending enhancements to the BI environment for SPS clients and internal stakeholders.\nThe position is expected to deliver accurate, timely, understandable reporting and analytics while maintaining appropriate data quality, confidentiality, and service standards.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business and operational stakeholders.\nExtract, cleanse, validate, and manipulate data from multiple sources to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.\nUse SharePoint, Microsoft Power BI, and AWS QuickSight to build user-friendly reporting solutions and data views.\nPartner with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, define metrics, and translate business needs into technical deliverables.\nAnalyze trends, performance results, and operational data to identify insights and support decision-making.\nEnsure reports are delivered on time, are easy to interpret, and meet audience needs across multiple functions.\nTroubleshoot reporting issues, resolve data discrepancies, and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.\nMaintain documentation for report logic, data sources, calculations, and distribution processes.\nSupport ongoing enhancements to reporting tools, governance, and data visualization standards; recommend tools, systems, or databases that could strengthen the BI program for SPS clients and stakeholders.\nSupport report and dashboard quality assurance, appropriate access controls, and consistent use of approved metrics and definitions.\nCommunicate findings, limitations, risks, and recommended actions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\nTest and validate reports, dashboards, calculations, and data outputs before publication and following updates to help ensure results are accurate, consistent, and aligned with business requirements.\nMonitor data refreshes and report performance, investigate recurring failures or slow-running reports, and coordinate with relevant technical teams to resolve underlying issues.\nSupport report publishing, distribution, and appropriate user access; gather stakeholder feedback and provide guidance that helps users degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n3 to 5 years of experience in report writing, business intelligence, or data analytics roles.\nAt least 2 to 3 years of hands-on Power BI and SQL experience, with intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency, including joins, aggregations, stored procedures, query optimization, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.\nPower BI data-modeling experience, including Power Query, DAX, semantic models, measures, calculated columns, and report-performance optimization.\nExperience manipulating and analyzing large datasets from multiple systems and sources.\nStrong Excel and data-management skills.\nAbility to define and maintain KPI and metrics dictionaries to ensure consistent definitions across reports and stakeholder groups.\nExperience with report and dashboard governance, including version control, access management, row-level security, quality assurance, and documentation.\nUnderstanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements, particularly where client, operational, or financial data is involved.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within established timelines.\nAbility to work assigned hours determined by the manager and adhere to applicable company policies and procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong working knowledge of SharePoint and AWS QuickSight.\nExperience with data warehousing or cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, SQL Server, Dataverse, or similar platforms.\nWorking knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, data integration, and data-transformation processes.\nExperience enabling self-service analytics by training business users, creating reusable templates, and helping stakeholders interpret dashboards.\nExperience with Agile, project intake, or requirements management, such as user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog prioritization, or report-request workflows.\nExperience supporting multiple business stakeholders or client groups with tailored reporting needs.\nUnderstanding of data governance, data quality, and reporting controls.\nExperience working in cross-functional environments with operations, IT, and business teams.\nRelevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or AWS analytics or QuickSight-related training.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work, participating in
