You’ll partner with our commercial and operations teams and help them understand what’s driving performance. You’ll also get hands-on with wider FP&A work: building forecasts, preparing the monthly management reporting and explaining the story behind the numbers. We work collaboratively with our customers, building trusted relationships that enable us to deliver exceptional, personalised experiences designed for real-world challenges in the lab.\nWant to be part of a team that's truly making a difference?\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nAftersales\nAct as the finance partner to the Aftersales commercial and operations teams, providing insight into performance, pricing and margin.\nWeekly reporting of Aftersales order intake, revenue and KPIs.\nContributing to the weekly revenue and order intake meetings, providing analysis and insight on performance and the outlook.\nReporting on labour utilisation across the service team, highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.\nOwning the installed base database and monthly installed base reporting.\nTracking and reporting service contract attach rates, renewals and warranty conversion.\nMonth end support to the UK Finance team for service revenue.\nForecasting\nPreparing the monthly service and consumables forecasts, linking them to the installed base, contract renewals and consumables usage trends.\nResource capacity planning for the service team, aligning headcount and skills with forecast demand from the installed base.\nSupporting the annual budget and longer-term strategic planning process.\nMonthly reporting and variance analysis\nContributing to the monthly management reporting pack.\nAnalysing performance against budget, forecast and prior year, and clearly explaining the key drivers of variances.\nPreparing and presenting financial data and insight to management.\nSystems and continuous improvement\nMaintaining data consistency across the ERP and our customer relationship management system (Salesforce).\nContinuously seeking to improve and automate reporting and drive efficiencies to support the needs of a growing business.\nAd-hoc projects and analysis as required.\nSkills & Attributes\nEssential:\nPart-qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or keen to start working towards an accountancy qualification.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with non-finance colleagues.\nStrong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.\nExperience with Microsoft PowerPoint creating presentations.\nAn analytical mindset, strong attention to detail and curiosity about what drives the numbers.\nA team player and passionate about supporting a growth business.\nNice to have:\nPrevious experience in an FP&A, commercial finance or management accounting role.\nExposure to service, subscription or other recurring revenue businesses.\nData Visualisation and Business Intelligence (Power BI or Tableau) creating insightful financial dashboards and reports.\nExperience using ERP and CRM systems.\nOur commitment to you:\nWe will support you through your accountancy qualification and help you develop your career within the finance function.\nWe offer a competitive salary package and comprehensive, valued benefits.\nWe embrace diversity and inclusivity, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, or family status.
