As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a critical part in the production of advanced pipeline inspection systems by assembling complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and cable harness sub-systems to exact specifications that meet rigorous industry standards.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nTechnical Operations\nAssemble components using hand and power tools per engineering drawings and work instructions\nConduct functional and diagnostic testing using shop test equipment\nTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on assemblies and equipment\nPerform soldering operations to IPC and RoHS standards\nHandle components using ESD protocols and procedures\nExecute first article builds and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)\nPerform assembly and repair tasks on both new and refurbished equipment\nProduction Standards & Performance\nMeet defined takt times and assembly throughput targets\nMaintain adherence to quality control standards during all phases of assembly\nWork overtime as scheduled to meet production deadlines\nMaintain consistent and reliable attendance per shift requirements\nDocumentation and Compliance\nAccurately complete work order documentation and quality forms\nFollow all applicable industry standards, safety protocols, and internal procedures\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience and Education\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalency\nAble to read mechanical assembly drawings and follow instructions\nFastener/Hardware knowledge\nPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nMilitary, trade school or equivalent experience is preferred \n3 years’ manufacturing experience, preferably in the assembly and/or service of automated equipment or machinery.\nEducation & Certifications\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalency\nMilitary, trade school or equivalent experience is preferred \nTravel & Working Environment\n6AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday overtime required depending on manufacturing needs\nMust be able to lift 60 lbs.\nMust be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time\nMust be able to wear appropriate PPE for various jobs\nHow we live our culture\nOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
