We are opening a new campus facility that will have two of our businesses (Marley and Ingenia Technologies) evolving and growing together at SPX's very first campus.\nWe are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our dynamic team to fill the position of Buyer for Ingenia. Reporting to the Material Manager, the incumbent will be responsible, alongside the for the procurement of raw materials, components, services, and equipment required for production at our Madison site. They ensure cost optimization and the quality of purchased products while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. They play a key role in supply chain performance and the continuous improvement of purchasing processes.\nHow you will make an Impact (Job Summary)\nDevelop and implement the purchasing strategy in line with company objectives.\nIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, lead times, and compliance criteria.\nNegotiate purchasing contracts (price, payment terms, delivery times, warranties, etc.).\nMonitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions if necessary.\nCollaborate closely with the production, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to anticipate needs.\nActively participate in cost reduction and process improvement projects.\nConduct market and technology monitoring to identify new opportunities or risks.\nManage supplier disputes and ensure rigorous order tracking.\nComply with sustainable purchasing policies and regulatory standards.\nSkills Profile\nBachelor's degree in purchasing, international trade, logistics, engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in a manufacturing environment.\nExcellent command of negotiation techniques.\nIn-depth knowledge of procurement processes and the supply chain.\nProficiency in ERP tools (EPICOR, SAP Oracle, etc.) and office software (Excel, PowerPoint).\nAnalytical and forward-thinking skills.\nAutonomous and rigorous.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nStrategic and results-oriented.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nHow we live our culture\nOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
