You'll work closely with global engineering teams to design and implement infrastructure-as-code, observability pipelines, and self-healing systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong emphasis on automation, performance tuning, and developer enablement.\nMain Duties & Responsibilities:\nArchitect and evolve scalable compute platforms using modern infrastructure engineering practices.\nDesign and implement automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle operations.\nDevelop internal tooling and APIs to abstract infrastructure complexity and improve productivity.\nTake part in bulk server provisioning which may include using remote hands to complete tasks.\nDrive observability initiatives by building and integrating telemetry pipelines (metrics, logs, traces).\nCollaborate with software engineering teams to ensure infrastructure supports application scalability, reliability, and security.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices across the team.\nParticipate in on-call, incident response and postmortems, driving long-term improvements through automation and architectural changes.\nQualifications/Skills Desired:\nExpert-level Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)\nConfiguration management (e.g., Ansible, Chef, SaltStack)\nProficient in Python, Go, or Rust for infrastructure tooling\nExperience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (compute, storage, networking, IAM)\nInfrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)\nMonitoring and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Zabbix)\nLogging and tracing (e.g., ELK stack, Fluentd, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger\nIdentity and access management (e.g., LDAP, Kerberos, OAuth2)\nCloud-native services (e.g., S3, EBS, GKE, EKS, Cloud Functions)\nGit-based workflows and version control\nAgile methodologies and DevOps culture\nTest-driven infrastructure development and automated testing frameworks\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\nNice to have:\nCI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD)\nHybrid cloud architecture and workload migration strategies\nVirtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware, Hyper-V)\nContributions to open-source infrastructure projects or internal developer platforms\nContainerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)\nSecure system design and hardening (e.g., SELinux, AppArmor, CIS benchmarks)\nExperience with Netbox using IPAM and custom modules \nThe minimum base salary for this role is $120,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation.
