They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. In this role you will configure, administer, automate, and maintain enterprise COTS applications, with a primary focus on the Atlassian Data Center Suite, while supporting accessibility, security, documentation, integrations, and user operations within a SAFe Agile environment.\nThis role is remote, with occasional required travel to the DMV if a non-local candidate, or occasional onsite needs if a DMV local candidate. Per our client contract, Active Secret Clearance is required.\nResponsibilities\nAdminister and support enterprise-grade COTS applications, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.\nConduct Section 508 compliance testing for new features and modifications to ensure accessibility standards are met.\nMaintain FISMA-related documentation and support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities by developing clear, compliant technical documentation.\nDevelop and maintain user support and reference guides for both technical and non-technical audiences.\nProvide hands-on troubleshooting, plugin installation, application updates, and operational support for COTS tools.\nQuery and maintain PostgreSQL-based application databases to support backend operations and configuration changes.\nCustomize Jira workflows, permissions, issue types, screens, and fields to align with enterprise business processes.\nAutomate and enhance Jira and Confluence functionality using Groovy, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.\nDesign and implement enterprise-wide configuration standards for Atlassian applications to promote consistency across project structures, integrations, and permissions.\nIntegrate COTS applications with other enterprise platforms using REST APIs and Atlassian native APIs to create seamless user workflows.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming.\nTrain users on Atlassian best practices, resolve support requests, and support the adoption of new workflows and plugins.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of experience in DevOps or application administration, including direct experience supporting Atlassian Data Center products and other COTS applications.\nStrong experience administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.\nExperience conducting Section 508 compliance testing for application features and modifications.\nExperience maintaining FISMA-related documentation and contributing to Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.\nExperience developing technical documentation and user support/reference guides for both technical and non-technical audiences.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting, installing plugins, performing application updates, and providing operational support for COTS tools.\nExperience working with PostgreSQL-based application databases, including querying and maintaining databases for backend operations and configuration changes.\nExperience customizing Jira workflows, permissions, issue types, screens, and fields based on enterprise business requirements.\nExperience using Groovy, Python, or equivalent scripting languages to automate and extend Jira and Confluence functionality.\nExperience establishing enterprise configuration standards for Atlassian applications, including project structures, integrations, and permissions.\nExperience integrating COTS applications with enterprise platforms using REST APIs and Atlassian native APIs.\nExperience working in Agile environments and participating in PI Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming.\nStrong user training, troubleshooting, and support skills, with the ability to promote adoption of new workflows and plugins.\nActive Secret clearance or higher.\nCompensation:\nSalary up to $130,000.
