This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with financial reporting, fixed assets, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration in a highly regulated environment.\nIn this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for property accounting activities, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of fixed assets and construction-related accounting processes.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare property-related journal entries and account reconciliations. \nManage monthly property accounting close activities. \nAnalyze and maintain fixed asset records. \nOversee CWIP, RWIP, job costing, and job order processes. \nSupport property tax reporting, depreciation activities, and regulatory filings. \nPartner with internal teams on property accounting and budgeting initiatives. \nAssist with audits and ensure compliance with SOX and accounting standards. \nConduct research, prepare reports, and support special projects.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.\nMinimum 5 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on property accounting.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.\nExperience with fixed assets and account reconciliations.\nAdvanced Excel and analytical skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA designation.\nUtility industry experience.\nKnowledge of FERC regulations and Uniform System of Accounts.\nExperience in a regulated environment.\n Compensation\nThe compensation for this role as a consultant starts at $42/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
