They are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator. In this role you will administer, secure, monitor, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting the federal client's telecommunications systems, with a focus on AWS GovCloud, AWS Connect, Linux systems, automation, cloud security, and high-availability mission-critical services.\nThis role is remote, with occasional required travel to the DMV if a non-local candidate, or occasional onsite needs if a DMV local candidate. Per our client contract, Active Secret Clearance is required.\nResponsibilities\nAdminister and support cloud-native infrastructure powering the federal client's telecommunications systems, with a focus on AWS-hosted services such as AWS Connect, EC2, and S3.\nPerform daily system administration activities within AWS GovCloud, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and patching of Linux-based virtual machines.\nManage telephony workloads and services within AWS Connect to maintain high availability, security, and performance for mission-critical communications.\nMonitor cloud system performance using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk while diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues to support 24/7 uptime.\nImplement and maintain system hardening, encryption, IAM roles, network policies, VPCs, security groups, and multi-factor authentication in accordance with the federal client's security standards.\nUse Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.\nSupport secure cloud data backup and recovery processes while meeting federal continuity and audit requirements.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps initiatives in collaboration with cloud development teams.\nParticipate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and system demonstrations.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation to provide rapid response to service-impacting incidents affecting telecommunications systems.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of experience administering Linux systems, including at least 3 years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, preferably in AWS GovCloud or similar secure environments.\nStrong understanding of AWS Connect operations, including call flow configuration, Contact Lens integration, and AWS Lex/Lambda integration.\nExperience implementing and managing AWS IAM, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, and CloudFormation.\nFamiliarity with cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, routing tables, security groups, and load balancing.\nHands-on experience automating cloud infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.\nKnowledge of cloud security best practices, including NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP-aligned controls.\nExperience working in SAFe Agile environments using Jira and Confluence.\nActive Secret clearance or higher.\nCompensation:\nSalary up to $120,000.
