With the millions-strong Squishable fan community cheering us on (and a lot of cupcakes, coffee, and karaoke) we make people say “awww.” Our offices are in a sunny loft in NYC's Flatiron District and in downtown Washington, DC.\nJob Summary: The Temporary Retail Operations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to Squishable's retail team, helping ensure stores have the information, resources, and assistance needed to operate efficiently. This role reports to the Director of Retail and works closely with Regional Managers, Store Managers, and internal departments to coordinate day-to-day operational activities, maintain accurate records, and support retail projects and initiatives.\nResponsibilities\nProviding day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Director of Retail, Regional Managers, and retail store teams\nCoordinating store requests, tracking outstanding issues, and following up with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely resolution\nAssisting with new store openings, relocations, remodels, and closures through remote coordination of supplies, fixtures, equipment, and project timelines\nMaintaining and updating retail operational documents, procedures, store communications, calendars, and the Store Operations Manual\nSupporting facilities and maintenance requests by communicating with vendors, scheduling services, and tracking completion\nPreparing and maintaining operational reports, spreadsheets, trackers, and other administrative records\nAssisting with purchase orders, invoices, expense tracking, and vendor documentation\nCoordinating with Inventory Planning, Warehousing, Finance, IT, and other departments to support store operations and resolve routine issues\nCommunicating operational updates, reminders, and procedural changes to retail store teams\nProviding administrative support for special projects and other retail initiatives as assigned\nQualifications\n1-2 years of experience in retail operations, administrative support, office coordination, or a related field required\nPrevious experience working in a retail environment or supporting multiple retail locations is a plus\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and general office software\nAbility to maintain accurate records, organize information, and follow established processes\nStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach\nAbility to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with multiple departments\nExperience with NetSuite or other retail management systems is a plus\nCompensation & Employment Details\nPay Rate: $27-$30 per hour, depending on experience\nEmployment Type: Temporary, hourly, non-exempt\n Work Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based)\nTravel Requirements: None\nAssignment Duration: Temporary assignment, through early to mid-January\nBenefits\nGenerous Employee Discount\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nSquishable.com, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
