In this hands-on role, you will assist with system setup and teardown, build and test components and subsystems, troubleshoot electronic and RF systems, and support both lab and field testing activities. This position involves work in indoor labs and outdoor test environments and provides excellent opportunities for learning and growth in advanced defense technologies.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSet up, tear down, and move radar systems within laboratory and outdoor test areas\nPerform limited production, prototyping, and assembly tasks including cable fabrication, circuit board testing, soldering, and system assembly\nIdentify required test equipment and conduct testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electronic and RF systems\nBuild and assemble mechanical and electrical sub-systems; perform hands-on work in an electronic lab environment\nTroubleshoot and repair electronic warfare, radar, and communication systems using oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other RF/electrical test equipment\nSet up standard test apparatus or fixtures, fabricate cables, and support functional, operational, environmental, and life testing\nFollow safety, quality, compliance, and security standards in an ISO-compliant environment\nCollaborate with engineering teams and support a culture of professionalism, trust, and integrity\nAssist with lab maintenance tasks such as equipment calibration, cleanliness, and general improvements\nWhat You’ll Bring\nAssociate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or related field; OR high school diploma with 5+ years of electronics experience\nEquivalent combinations of education, training, and hands-on experience are accepted\nStrong electrical and mechanical aptitude with ability to read schematics, datasheets, mechanical drawings, and test procedures\nExperience using electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and signal generators\nFamiliarity with mechanical assembly tools and fabrication techniques\nStrong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment\nWays to Stand Out\nRF circuitry experience\nCircuit board rework including soldering surface-mount components, hot air rework, and trace/jumper modifications\nCable fabrication skills (power, data, and RF cables)\nExperience using hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly\nWhat Sets Us Apart?\nSRC, Inc., a not-for-profit research and development company, combines information, science, technology and ingenuity to solve “impossible” problems in the areas of defense, environment and intelligence. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $27.00/hour - $32.00/hour.
