We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our growing team in Subiaco WA. Reporting to the Executive General Manager Corporate Services, this role will provide commercial advice and support by collaborating closely with business unit personnel and promoting strategic decision-making, aiming to reduce commercial risk and optimise financial outcomes.\nBeginning with engagement in the pre-contract phase, overseeing the contract lifecycle from negotiation, providing continuous support across all contract management facets, including dispute management.\nThe position will also provide crucial oversight of governance supporting commercial and contractual processes, driving business growth in alignment with SRG Global’s objectives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nParticipation in client and supplier precontract activities, including risk assessment, commercial/contract review, and negotiation/execution.\nProvide oversight and support throughout the project and contract management lifecycle, including managing material claims and disputes.\nOversee engagement and management of material subcontractors.\nSupport the development and delivery of commercial and contract training for key internal stakeholders.\nEnsure implementation of risk management systems to proactively identify and monitor commercial (and financial) risks within business units, ensuring management's understanding of risk exposure.\nPromote robust commercial controls, addressing areas of significant exposure.\nIdentify and implement process and control improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.\nCultivate and maintain strong relationships with external parties, including clients and suppliers.\nConduct proper financial/commercial evaluations for significant capital expenditures, business initiatives, and major repairs and maintenance programs to ensure their viability and compliance with the Group’s Delegation of Authority.\nSupport business unit leadership in developing annual budgets/forecasts within Group-established processes and timelines.\nIdentify financial and commercial trends and anomalies, working with business units to develop and implement corrective initiatives.\nThe successful applicant will ideally have:\nTertiary qualification in Legal, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or similar field.\n5+ years experience post qualification.\nThorough understanding of contracting, especially within civil, construction and resources contexts.\nExcellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.\nProven track record of strong commercial/business acumen.\nHighly developed analytical capabilities.\nExtensive experience with cost modelling, CAPEX analysis.\nStrong personality backed by the confidence and ability to effectively manage and adapt to various stakeholders.\nAbout Us\nSRG Global is a diversified industrial services company.
