With several water and wastewater treatment projects moving into delivery across regional South East Queensland, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects.\nThe ideal candidate will have a Civil or Mechanical Engineering background, with demonstrated experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure, treatment plants or similar facilities. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, genuine career progression and the chance to work as part of a high-performing team delivering critical infrastructure across the region.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnsure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.\nTrack project finances, review costs vs. budget, and highlight margin impacts.\nLiaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.\nUnderstand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.\nPrepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.\nPlan procurement activities, organise labour and equipment for supervisors.\nEnsure materials and services meet QA requirements.\nDevelop ITPs/ITCs, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.\nAssess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.\nPromote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.\nReview CEMP and environmental procedures before work begins.\nMaintain QA documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.\nQualifications & Experience:\nDegree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management\n4+ years Project Management experience in the Construction Industry (Civil, Utilities and Water Infrastructure projects highly desirable).\nAbility to communicate and liaise effectively with people at all levels, and other stakeholders as required.\nAbility to adapt and be reacting to change, and to plan accordingly\nSound skills in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.\nPass a pre-employment medical and D&A\nAbout Us:\nAt SRG Utilities, we empower Australian communities by delivering essential services that support a safe, healthy, and fulfilling life.
