Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams, you'll take ownership of contractual and commercial matters across our Victorian and South Australian operations, while helping develop and upskill the wider project team.\nYou'll be involved across the post-award project lifecycle, managing contracts, variations, claims and commercial risks, while ensuring the team understands not just what needs to be done, but why it matters.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport the commercial and contractual management of SRG Global Utilities projects across VIC and SA\nManage head contract and subcontract administration, ensuring contractual obligations and notice requirements are met\nTake the lead on variations, claims, extensions of time and contractual issues\nIdentify commercial risks and opportunities early and work with Project Managers to address them proactively\nSupport the management and resolution of commercial issues, disputes and claims\nWork closely with subcontractors and head contractors to ensure contractual and commercial requirements are understood and managed\nProvide practical commercial guidance to Project Managers, Engineers and delivery teams\nCoach and develop Contracts Administrators and project team members, building stronger commercial capability across the business\nHelp teams understand the commercial implications of their decisions and actions\nMaintain strong attention to detail across contract administration, notices, registers and contractual compliance\nContribute to procurement and pre-contract activities when required\nSupport continuous improvement in commercial and contract management practices across the Utilities business\nThe successful applicant will ideally have:\nRelevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business or Law (desirable)\n3-5 years’ experience in a Contracts Administration or commercial role within the utilities, construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors\nStrong experience managing head contracts and subcontracts, including variations, claims, EOTs and contractual notices\nSound understanding of contractual compliance, commercial risk and project financials\nStrong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with Project Managers and delivery teams\nA proactive and hands-on approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address issues early\nDemonstrated ability to coach, mentor and support junior team members and build commercial capability within a project team\nStrong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nAbout Us\nAt SRG Utilities, we empower Australian communities by delivering essential services that support a safe, healthy, and fulfilling life.
