Projects involve technically complex environments requiring strong coordination across engineering, construction and subcontractor interfaces.\nWorking closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, you will take ownership of key engineering and delivery activities across the project lifecycle. This will include coordinating engineering and construction activities, managing subcontractor interfaces, supporting procurement and planning, monitoring project costs and contributing to commercial outcomes.\nYou will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements, while working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical, commercial and scheduling matters and drive successful project outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDeliver project works in accordance with scope, budget, program and required construction methodologies.\nIdentify and manage project risks, opportunities, variations and claims.\nManage subcontractor performance, claims and contractual requirements.\nMonitor project costs, budgets and margins, identifying issues and corrective actions.\nCoordinate procurement, labour, plant and resources to support project delivery.\nManage technical, quality and project documentation, including ITPs, inspections and handover.\nLiaise with clients, subcontractors and project teams to resolve technical, commercial and scheduling issues.\nPromote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with project safety requirements and procedures.\nSupport environmental management and ensure compliance with project environmental requirements.\nEnsure project teams and subcontractors comply with relevant management plans, policies and procedures.\nQualifications & Experience:\n5-7 years’ experience within the construction industry, ideally across civil, utilities or major infrastructure projects.\nDegree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.\nDemonstrated experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects valued at $10M+.\nExperience delivering electrical infrastructure, ideally including HV, underground cabling and conduits.\nStrong understanding of construction principles within a multidisciplinary contracting environment.\nStrong commercial acumen, with experience in estimating, budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.\nProven ability to manage subcontractors, clients and multiple project stakeholders.\nStrong safety leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.\nDemonstrated ability to build effective relationships and lead project teams to successful outcomes.\nAbout Us:\nAt SRG Utilities, we empower Australian communities by delivering essential services that support a safe, healthy, and fulfilling life.
