  • Create, manage and maintain survey models and digital data for construction set-out and machine control.
  • Undertake survey checks and quality control to verify construction works comply with design requirements, tolerances and project specifications.
  • Complete as-constructed surveys, including preparation and interpretation of survey data and as-constructed plans.
  • Undertake quantity and volume calculations, including verification of design quantities and measurement of materials placed.
  • Prepare and maintain survey records, field notes, reports and project survey documentation.
  • Identify discrepancies between design, existing conditions and construction and communicate these to the project team.
  • Provide technical surveying advice to Engineers, Supervisors and Project Management.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project survey procedures, standards and quality requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders where required in relation to surveying activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of efficient surveying and machine-control processes.
  • Ensure surveying activities are undertaken safely and in accordance with project procedures and relevant legislation.

The successful applicant will have:

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience as a construction/site surveyor on civil infrastructure, roadworks or earthworks projects.
  • Strong practical experience in construction set-out, survey control and construction verification.
  • Experience with earthworks, subgrade, pavement, drainage and road construction.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, survey data and digital models.
  • Strong understanding of construction surveying tolerances, quality requirements and as-constructed documentation.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing survey priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and construction crews.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and accuracy.

Desirable

  • Experience on Main Roads WA or other major road infrastructure projects.
