In addition to software development, you will also support senior staff in proposal writing efforts, generating new business opportunities as well as leading R&D projects related to robotics.\nQualifications\nMust have US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.\nMinimum qualifications:RE II - B.S. with 2+ years OR M.S.; RE III - Bachelors with 5+ years OR Masters with 3+ years OR PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics or related field.Demonstrated experience/background in C++ and Python.\nExperience with ROS 2 for robotic software development.\nExperience developing software to interface with physical robotic systems.\nExperience integrating robotic sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, force/torque sensors, or similar devices.\nExperience with system software (driver/OS level) on Linux and Windows.\n\nDesired skills\nExperience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent.\nExperience with embedded systems or low-level hardware interfaces.\nExperience supporting research and development programs for government defense, healthcare, or industrial applications.\nExperience contributing to technical proposals, customer demonstrations, and research publications.\nInterest in advancing state-of-the-art robotics, autonomy, AI, and human-robot interaction systems.\nRobotics & Autonomy\nExperience developing robotic control, autonomy, teleoperation, or navigation systems.\nExperience integrating robotic manipulators, mobile robots, or custom robotic platforms.\nExperience with real-time robotic software architectures and distributed systems.\nPerception & Machine Learning\nExperience with computer vision using OpenCV and/or deep learning approaches.\nExperience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent.\nExperience developing perception systems involving object detection, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation, or sensor fusion.\nExperience collecting, managing, and processing robotics datasets.\nSimulation & Digital Twins\nExperience with robotic simulation environments such as Unreal Engine, Isaac Sim/Omniverse, Gazebo, or related platforms.\nExperience developing Unreal Engine applications using C++, Blueprints, and/or OpenXR.\nExperience creating digital twins, synthetic environments, or simulation-based testing workflows.\nSystems & Integration\nExperience with Docker, containerized deployment, and modern software development practices.\nExperience interfacing with external hardware, custom devices, and communication protocols.\nExperience debugging complex multi-sensor and multi-system robotic platforms.\nExperience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams spanning software, mechanical, electrical, and clinical or operational domains.\nThe salary range is: RE II- $90,580-$134,740; RE III - $115,710-$172,115 Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles.
