In this role, you will operate and monitor automated block-making equipment to produce high-quality concrete block products safely, efficiently, and consistently.\nYour Mission & Key Responsibilities\nOperate block plant machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently.\n\nMonitor equipment performance, product quality, and production flow throughout the shift.\n\nSet up, adjust, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting on machinery as needed.\n\nInspect finished block for proper size, shape, color, strength, and overall quality.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\n\nAssist with changing molds, clearing jams, and performing routine preventive maintenance.\n\nCommunicate production concerns, equipment issues, and safety hazards to supervision promptly.\n\nFollow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and plant procedures.\n\nAssist other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.\n\nWhat Sets You Apart\nPrior manufacturing, production, construction, concrete, or equipment-operating experience preferred, but training may be provided.\n\nMechanical aptitude and the ability to learn automated production equipment.\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.\n\nDependable attendance and a strong work ethic.\n\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work around dust, noise, and varying temperatures.\n\nMust be able to follow safety instructions and work well as part of a team.\n\nAbout SRM\nSRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is a family-owned, values-driven leader in the ready mix concrete industry.
