If you’re committed to safety, service, and being part of a team that values your expertise, SRM wants you behind the wheel.\nYour Mission & Key Responsibilities\nSafely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations.\nConduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.\nAccurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.\nCommunicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.\nEnsure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.\nFollow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.\nProvide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.\nPromptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.\nStay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.\nWhat Sets You Apart\nValid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.\nCurrent DOT Medical Card.\nMinimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.\nClean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.\nStrong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.\nPhysical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.\nExcellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers.\nWillingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.\nPositive, “go-getter” attitude and commitment to SRM’s 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter.\nAbout SRM\nSRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is a family-owned, values-driven leader in the ready mix concrete industry.
