This role combines millwright skills, welding expertise, and basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and industrial systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations while supporting troubleshooting and process improvements in a team environment.\nMain Responsibilities\nPerform the essential functions of a millwright with extensive welding applications\n\nStick/Mig welding experience (overhead)\n\nPerform basic maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.\n\nPerform basic plumbing and pipefitting skills (ie. perform structural repairs to buildings, platforms, machinery, utility piping and structures at times in elevated positions).\n\nPerform maintenance engineering functions and repairs for all plant mechanical equipment.\n\nPossess basic knowledge of industrial electricity and understanding of how a PLCs’ interacts with the hydraulic systems and the operators.\n\nInstall modifications to existing equipment as required\n\nWork in a team-oriented facility\n\nAssist in the development of solutions to operating problems and improvements to the processes as required\n\nPerform administrative tasks as may be assigned from time to time\n\nEducation, Experience, and Competencies\nRequired Education:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent GED or HSE\n\nPreferred Education:\nAssociates degree or certificate in mechanical or electrical field\n\nRequired Experience:\nStrong Mechanical background\n\nMinimum of 2 years of heavy industrial experience\n\nPreferred Experience:\nHeavy industry mechanical experience with basic PLC/electrical understanding.\n\nIn addition, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.\n\nPass Stick overhead 3G welding test.\n\nMinimum Microsoft Office suite computer skills are required\n\nPosition Type - Work Hours - Travel Requirements\nPosition is full time, hourly, and is eligible for overtime\nPosition works rotating 12-hour swing shifts to include days and nights\nNo travel is expected for this position\nWorking Conditions\nThe position requires the following vision and hearing capabilities:\nTalking person to person, on the phone, and/or in group settings.\nHearing in person, on the phone, and/or in group settings.\nVision at near, mid, and far range.\nPeripheral vision and depth perception.\nThe employee will frequently be required to:\nStand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.\nTwist at waist level, reach above shoulder level, reach at and/or below waist level.\nUse both hands for grasping, fingering, gripping and feeling textures and temperatures.\nLift and/or move up to 10 pounds.\nPerform repetitive tasks for extended periods.\nThe employee will occasionally be required to:\nLift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nThe employee will work in the following conditions:\nExtreme hot and cold conditions.\nWet and humid conditions.\nAmid fumes, dust, dirt, and smoke.\nIn confined areas and heights/high places.\nNear moving parts of heavy machinery, equipment in motion and high voltage equipment.\nAmid noise.\nAmid mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards and industrial magnets.\nWhile wearing safety equipment and/or clothing for protection from hazards.\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee for this job.
