policies and procedures.\nWorks closely with Operations, Shipping, Sales (inside/outside), and Management; to include effective communication of all customer updates and timely preparation of weekly/monthly reports.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Education & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field from an accredited College or University, or an equivalent combination of education & experience\n3 - 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in the field of finance, accounting, forecasting and/or cost accounting\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, extremely organized\nExcellent computer proficiency (SAP Business One (a plus), MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), including accounting software\nMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service\nAbility to work independently and as a team member to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices\nStrong attention to details, analytical skills, exceptional judgment, dependable, excellent teamwork skills, good time management skills, creative, problem-solving, hardworking & persistent, professional competence, proactive\nCurrent/active driver’s license\nPreferred Education & Experience:\nMaster’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field from an accredited College or University, or an equivalent combination of education & experience\n5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the field of finance, accounting, forecasting and/or cost accounting\nKnowledge of “local” GAAP and IFRS standards a definite asset.\nSAP Business One\nExperience performing month-end closes is desirable.\nExperience in the steel, manufacturing or services industries\nWorking conditions\nTravel 10% of time for meetings at other SSAB locations (inventory counts), trainings, seminars & conferences as needed\nPhysical requirements\nAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job
