This position works closely with department leadership to reduce downtime and enhance reliability. The role verifies plates are processed and stenciled according to production requirements, maintains an organized and well-stocked work area, and participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts. The role also actively supports a strong safety culture by participating in safety initiatives and identifying, reporting, and helping eliminate workplace hazards.\nMain Responsibilities / Essential Functions\nOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment; perform routine and preventive maintenance as required.\nCollaborate with the shift coordinator and department manager to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.\nVerify the correct plate is being processed to the correct production requirements and ensure correct stenciling.\nMaintain a clean, organized and stocked work area.\nParticipate in quality assurance efforts and continuous improvement activities.\nActively participate in safety meetings and initiatives; identify, report, and help eliminate workplace hazards.\nComplete all training within designated timeframes and attend all required meetings.\nUnderstand and support the company’s goals and values and adhere to company, department, safety, housekeeping, quality, environmental, and ethics policies and procedures.\nAbout You / Qualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nMinimum 1 year of industrial production experience, preferably in metals industry\nBasic computer literacy, including the ability to navigate HMIs or similar systems\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nEffective communication, collaboration, interpersonal and teamwork skills\nPreferred\n1 year of heat treatment experience\nProficiency with control systems, automation, and HMIs\nM365 proficiency\nSupervisory Responsibilities / Direct Reports\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nThe employee will be required to operate or work with the following machines, tools, and workstations:\nEquipment/Tools: Auto crane, forklift, hand torch, temper furnace, stencil and stamp machine, HMIs\nWorkstations/Areas: Pulpit (control station), shop floor\nThe employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk as follows:\nSitting 4 hours at a time; average 6 hours a day\nStanding 4 hours at a time; average 4 hours a day\nWalking 4 hours at a time; average 2 hours a day\nAlternate sitting, standing and walking as needed\nThe position requires the following talking, vision and hearing capabilities:\nTalking person to person, on the phone, and in a group setting\nHearing in person, on the phone, and in a group setting\nVision near, midrange, far, and peripheral vision\nDepth perception and the ability to adjust focus\nThe position requires the following pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying capabilities:\nPush, pull, lift, and/or carry items weighing 50 pounds or less\nThe employee will occasionally be required to:\nDrive\nCrawl\nReach above shoulder level\nFinger with both hands together or separately\nThe employee will frequently be required to:\nBalance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb\nTwist at waist level, reach at waist/desk level and below waist level\nHandle, grip, hold, and grasp with both hands together or separately\nFeel with both hands together or separately; sense temperature and textures with both hands together or separately\nThe employee will be required to work in the following conditions: (While wearing safety equipment and/or clothing for protection from hazards)\nIndoors\nExtreme hot and cold conditions\nIn wet and humid conditions\nAmid fumes, dust, dirt, and smoke\nIn confined areas, high places, and around equipment in motion\nAmid noise\nAmid mechanical, electrical, chemical, and industrial magnets hazards\nPosition Type, Expected Work Hours, Travel Requirements\nPosition is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime\nPosition works (12) hours a day, rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee for this job.
