PURPOSE OF THE POSITION\nThe Support Manager consolidates under a single leadership the technical know-how, information systems, supply chain, inventory and investment project functions of Metals, ensuring that the operating divisions receive consistent, timely and fact-based support.\nThe position exists to guarantee that technical knowledge is captured, standardised and transferred across the organisation; that information systems and data integrity underpin management decisions; that materials, supplies and inventories are managed with the accuracy and discipline required by a non-ferrous manufacturing environment; and that investment projects are centrally structured, evaluated and followed through to completion.\nThe role operates primarily on a project basis: each priority initiative is set up as a defined project with objectives, scope, resources, milestones and measurable results, coordinating the contribution of the different areas involved. Beyond the direct management of the functions listed above, the Support Manager acts as an integrating and impartial interface between the departments of Metals and, where relevant, its counterparts within the Electric Group, translating operational issues into structured analysis and actionable recommendations for Executive Management.\n2. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY\n2.1 Know-How: Process Engineering, Materials and Continuous Improvement\nOwn the Company's technical standards for manufacturing processes, including operating parameters, process windows, capability studies and troubleshooting methodologies.\nLead root-cause analysis of recurring process deviations, quality incidents and yield losses, ensuring corrective actions are verified and sustained.\nManage the materials function: raw material and consumable specifications, technical qualification of suppliers, incoming acceptance criteria, alternative material evaluation and failure analysis.\nDirect the continuous improvement programme (Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen), with measurable targets on OEE, scrap and yield, changeover time, energy consumption and cost per tonne.\nBuild and maintain the Company's technical documentation and know-how repository, ensuring that best practices developed in one division are transferred and standardised across the others.\nProvide technical support to capital projects: specification review, technology benchmarking, commissioning support and post-investment performance verification.\n2.2 Information Technology\nDefine and execute the IT roadmap in alignment with the Company's operational and commercial priorities.\nEnsure the reliability, availability and security of infrastructure, networks and business applications, including cybersecurity policy and business continuity planning.\nAct as the business owner of the ERP. Working hand in hand with the IT Analyst, define and maintain the fundamentals on which the system is built - organisational structure, product and material coding, bills of materials, routings, costing model, stock movements and transaction logic - ensuring at all times that the ERP reflects how the business actually operates rather than the reverse.\nKeep the ERP aligned with the evolution of the business: assess the impact of new products, processes, divisions, plants or commercial models on the system's design, and lead the corresponding configuration or development changes in a controlled and documented manner.\nTranslate business requirements into functional specifications for the IT Analyst and external providers, validate the resulting solutions before deployment, and ensure user training and adoption.\nOwn master data governance, process mapping, user discipline and the integrity of the data used for management reporting, guaranteeing a single, reliable source of information for decision-making.\nDrive digitalisation of shop-floor data capture, production reporting and management dashboards, reducing manual consolidation and reporting lead times.\nManage IT budgets, service providers, licensing and service levels.\n2.3 Supply Chain\nEnsure continuity of supply of raw materials, consumables, spare parts and services at competitive total cost, in coordination with Procurement and Production Planning.\nEstablish and monitor supplier performance in delivery, lead time, documentation and technical compliance, escalating deviations with supporting evidence.\nOversee logistics, imports and customs coordination, ensuring compliance with local regulations and correct documentation flow.\nSupport the sales and operations planning cycle, aligning demand forecasts, production capacity and material availability.\n2.4 Inventory Management\nOwn inventory accuracy across all locations, implementing cycle counting, reconciliation procedures and clear accountability for stock movements.\nDefine and maintain stock policies: minimum and maximum levels, reorder points, safety stock and coverage targets by material category.\nControl slow-moving, obsolete and non-conforming stock, proposing disposal, reprocessing or re-use routes.\nWork side by side with the Cost Controlling Department, ensuring full consistency between physical stock records, standard and actual costs, consumption variances and month-end valuation; jointly investigate and explain any deviation.\nEnsure rigorous metal balance reconciliation between physical inventory, production records and financial records.\nOptimise working capital tied up in inventory without compromising service levels to production and customers.\n2.5 Investment Projects\nAct as the single point of centralisation for the Company's investment projects, maintaining a consolidated portfolio with scope, status, budget, schedule and expected returns.\nStandardise the investment process: preparation of investment requests, technical specification, supplier and technology benchmarking, quotation comparison and risk assessment.\nBuild the economic evaluation of each project - CAPEX, operating cost impact, payback, IRR and sensitivity analysis - in cooperation with Cost Controlling and Finance, and present it to the Investment Committee in decision-ready format.\nCoordinate project execution across engineering, production, maintenance, supply chain, IT and external contractors, ensuring milestones, budget and safety requirements are met.\nManage commissioning, ramp-up and hand-over to operations, followed by post-investment review comparing actual performance against the approved business case.\n2.6 Coordination with the Systems Department - Environment, Health & Safety\nCoordinate with the Systems Department to ensure that environmental and safety requirements are embedded in process design, materials selection, IT systems and supply chain practices.\nSupport the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company's certified management systems (quality, environment, occupational health and safety, energy) within the scope of the areas under this position.\nEnsure that technical and improvement projects incorporate environmental compliance, emissions, waste and safety considerations from the design stage.\n3. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL MANDATE\nStructure the Company's priority initiatives as defined projects - objectives, scope, resources, milestones, owners and measurable results - and lead them personally, mobilising the different areas involved without duplicating their line responsibilities.\nAct as a neutral facilitator between the operational, technical and commercial departments of Metals and its counterparts within the Electric Group, resolving interface issues before they escalate into operational or client-facing problems.\nChair or coordinate cross-departmental review meetings on matters involving more than one division, ensuring that agreed actions have owners, deadlines and verified closure.\nPrepare consolidated, fact-based analyses and recommendations for Executive Management, including options, risks, quantified impact and implementation requirements.\nFollow up on the execution of management decisions across departments, reporting progress and deviations objectively.\nLead special assignments and cross-company projects entrusted by the Chief Executive Officer, including feasibility studies, benchmarking exercises and organisational or process reviews.\nRepresent the Company's technical and support functions before external parties - suppliers, technology providers, auditors and institutional counterparts - when required.\n4. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS\nAREA\nINDICATORS\nKnow-how\nYield and scrap rate, OEE, number and savings value of implemented improvement projects, recurrence rate of process deviations\nMaterials\nCost per tonne of consumables, supplier technical non-conformities, material substitution savings\nInformation Technology\nSystem availability, ERP data accuracy and alignment with business processes, reporting cycle time, cybersecurity incidents, IT budget compliance\nSupply Chain\nOn-time in-full supply, supplier lead-time compliance, stock-out incidents, landed cost variance\nInventory\nInventory accuracy, days of coverage, obsolete and slow-moving stock ratio, metal balance variance, consistency with Cost Controlling records\nInvestment Projects\nAdherence to approved CAPEX and schedule, achievement of business case targets after ramp-up, quality of post-investment reviews\nEHS Coordination\nClosure rate of environmental and safety actions within scope, audit findings, certification maintenance\nCross-functional\nOn-time closure of cross-departmental actions, quality and timeliness of executive analyses\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nEDUCATION\nBachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical or Electrical Engineering. A postgraduate qualification in operations, supply chain or business administration is an advantage.\nEXPERIENCE\nMinimum 10 years in industrial manufacturing environments, of which at least 5 in a multi-departmental management role.\nDemonstrated experience in process engineering and structured problem-solving in a continuous or semi-continuous production environment; experience in non-ferrous metals, cable, wire or heavy process industry is strongly preferred.\nProven track record in leading continuous improvement programmes with quantified results.\nPractical experience as a business owner or key user of an ERP in a manufacturing environment - including data structures, costing models and change management - capable of directing IT professionals without necessarily being an IT specialist.\nSolid command of supply chain and inventory management practices in an industrial setting.\nDemonstrated experience in leading industrial investment projects from justification through to commissioning and post-investment review.\nExperience working in multicultural organisations; GCC experience is an advantage.\nTECHNICAL SKILLS\nAdvanced analytical and problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, FMEA, Ishikawa, statistical process control).\nStrong data analysis and reporting capability; advanced Excel and business intelligence tools.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.\nSound understanding of cost structures, working capital and investment evaluation.\nLANGUAGES\nArabic: native speaker - essential.\nEnglish: fluent, written and spoken - essential, as it is the Company's working language for technical documentation, suppliers and Group reporting.\n6. COMPETENCIES\nAnalytical rigour - dissects complex, ambiguous problems into verifiable elements and reaches conclusions supported by data rather than opinion.\nCross-departmental mediation - builds agreement between functions with divergent priorities, maintaining objectivity and credibility with all parties.\nProject leadership - structures ambiguous objectives into managed projects and delivers them on scope, on time and on budget through teams he does not hierarchically control.\nExecutive communication - presents complex technical matters concisely and in decision-ready format.\nOwnership and follow-through - drives issues to verified closure across...","description_format":"text","description_chars":12696,"description_truncated":true,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Arabic","level":"Proficiency (C2)","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Information Security","Manufacturing","Natural Resources"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T08:14:40Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":49,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.492,"p_room":1,"age_days":24,"expected_fill_days":80,"reasons":["conf:2","agency","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-19T05:45:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/ssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/ssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-19T11:32:09Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":8134,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-20T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3460},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3460"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/ssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fssc-hr-solutions-industrial-support-manager"}]}
