The role owns the development and effectiveness of the Quality Management System, drives prevention and resolution of quality issues, establishes robust inspection and process-control practices, and provides technical quality leadership across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and other functions. During the current organizational build-up stage, the role may also oversee or coordinate selected environment, health & safety, calibration and compliance activities until the structure develops further.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild, implement, maintain and continuously improve the factory Quality Management System and ensure effective deployment across departments.\nParticipate with senior management in setting quality objectives, policies, priorities and improvement plans, and provide clear quality performance reporting.\nLead product and process quality across incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, testing and release of finished products.\nEstablish and maintain appropriate quality controls for wire-harness operations, including cutting, stripping, crimping, assembly, soldering where applicable, connectorization, continuity/electrical testing, marking and final workmanship acceptance.\nDefine inspection standards, acceptance criteria, sampling/inspection frequencies and control points according to customer, product, process and applicable standard requirements.\nLead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action for nonconformities, internal defects, customer complaints, repeated failures and significant process deviations; verify effectiveness of actions.\nDevelop and control PFMEA, Control Plans and relevant process-quality documentation; apply SPC, MSA and process capability techniques where relevant.\nSupport APQP/PPAP or equivalent customer/product approval requirements where applicable, and ensure quality readiness for new products, changes and launches.\nLead internal quality audits and process audits; prepare audit plans, follow findings to closure and report significant risks and recurring issues to management.\nCoordinate external certification, surveillance and customer audits; address findings and protect continuity of required certifications.\nManage customer-quality requirements, complaints, technical quality communication and agreed urgent quality actions; ensure confidentiality of customer and company information.\nOversee supplier-quality performance and incoming material quality; participate in supplier evaluation, escalation and corrective-action follow-up when quality issues arise.\nEnsure calibration and verification systems for measuring and testing equipment are established, maintained and traceable.\nEnsure identification, traceability, segregation and control of nonconforming product and appropriate storage/handling quality requirements.\nMonitor quality KPIs and trends, analyze performance data, identify systemic risks and lead continuous-improvement initiatives based on evidence.\nPrepare and support Management Review meetings and follow up resulting decisions, actions and improvement commitments.\nLead, coach and develop the Quality team; define responsibilities, competency requirements, training needs and performance expectations.\nProvide technical quality guidance to Production and other departments while maintaining independent quality judgment and evidence-based decision making.\nDuring the current organization-building stage, oversee or coordinate applicable environmental, occupational health & safety and related compliance requirements, with clear interfaces and escalation to management.\nKeep applicable quality, environmental and compliance requirements current and support the factory in meeting customer, regulatory and certification obligations.\nKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)\nCustomer complaints / customer PPM and closure effectiveness\nInternal defect and rejection rate\nFirst-pass yield / right-first-time performance\nScrap and rework attributable to quality issues\nCorrective-action closure on time and recurrence rate\nInternal/external audit findings and closure performance\nSupplier quality / incoming rejection performance\nCalibration compliance\nQuality-system implementation and documentation compliance\nQuality improvement projects delivered and verified impact\nTraining/competency completion for Quality team and relevant operators\nRequirements\nHIRING BENCHMARK / CANDIDATE PROFILE\nArea Benchmark\nEducation Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Production, Industrial or related Engineering discipline.\nExperience 8-12 years of manufacturing quality experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.\nIndustry Preference Strong preference for Automotive, Wire Harness, Cable Assembly, Automotive Electrical Components or comparable high-volume discrete manufacturing.\nQuality Systems Strong practical knowledge of ISO 9001. IATF 16949 knowledge/experience is strongly preferred where automotive customer requirements apply.\nCore Quality Tools Practical capability in PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/root-cause analysis; APQP and PPAP strongly preferred where applicable.\nWire Harness Standard Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent customer-specific wire-harness workmanship/acceptance standards is a major advantage.\nTechnical Capability Hands-on understanding of process quality, inspection, testing, defect analysis, traceability, calibration and manufacturing process controls.\nLeadership Profile Strong shop-floor presence; able to build systems and teams from an early-stage environment; firm, evidence-based and collaborative; able to challenge Production or other stakeholders professionally without unnecessary conflict.\nSystems & Data Comfortable using ERP/QMS data, quality dashboards, trend analysis and structured reporting to support decisions.\nLanguage Good professional English for standards, customer requirements, audits and technical documentation\n.ROLE STAGE NOTE\nThis role is intentionally broader during the current organization-building stage. As the factory structure matures, selected responsibilities such as HSE/environmental management or specialized supplier/customer quality activities may be separated into dedicated roles without changing the core Technical Quality ownership of this position.\nBENCHMARK BASIS\nThe hiring benchmark supplements the factory’s existing Quality Assurance Manager job description and adapts it to the current need for a stronger Technical Quality leadership role in electrical wire-harness manufacturing.
