As an Associate Manager, you will serve as a team lead and reviewer while actively performing day-to-day accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.\nYou will help coordinate client deliverables, prepare and review financial statements, support audits, and guide junior team members. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence.\nYou will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.\nHow You Will Make an Impact\nPrepare and review annual and interim financial statements, including supporting schedules, footnotes, and disclosures for private equity and fund of funds clients.\nPerform day-to-day fund accounting activities, including recording investment transactions, capital calls, distributions, expense accruals, and valuation adjustments.\nPrepare and review trial balances, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statement workpapers, ensuring reports agree to underlying accounting records.\nPrepare and review capital account statements, investor allocations, and management fee calculations.\nReview fund governing documents, including limited partnership agreements, offering documents, side letters, and investment management agreements, to ensure accurate application of fund terms.\nPrepare and review distribution waterfall calculations in accordance with fund agreements.\nReview financial statements for compliance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable reporting requirements, escalating complex accounting matters as needed.\nServe as a team lead, helping assign work, coordinate priorities, and monitor deadlines while maintaining responsibility for your own accounting and reporting deliverables.\nReview junior team members’ work, provide constructive feedback, and support their technical development through day-to-day coaching.\nCoordinate audit requests, prepare supporting documentation, and work with clients and external auditors to resolve questions and complete reporting on schedule.\nMaintain regular communication with clients and internal teams regarding deliverables, outstanding items, and reporting timelines.\nAssist with tax reporting support and other client deliverables as needed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.\nProgressive accounting experience supporting alternative investment funds, including private equity and/or fund of funds.\nHands-on experience preparing and reviewing fund financial statements, supporting workpapers, and disclosures.\nWorking knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it applies to investment companies and investment partnerships.\nExperience reviewing others’ work, coordinating deliverables, or serving as a team lead.\nExperience supporting external audits and communicating with clients and auditors.\nWhat Sets You Apart\nCPA designation or progress toward certification.\nStrong technical accounting skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nA hands-on approach, with the ability to balance daily accounting responsibilities, work review, and team guidance.\nExperience interpreting fund agreements and applying terms to allocations, fees, and distributions.\nA collaborative coaching style and an interest in developing junior staff.\nStrong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with fund accounting and financial reporting systems.\nJoin SS&C, where innovation meets global opportunities.
